*Type your outline in Times New Roman 12 point font. Single space everything. EXCEPT between the major
Roman numerals.
*All portions (Roman numerals and letters) of this outline must be written in COMPLETE SENTENCES!
This includes all main points and supporting evidence.
*All Roman numerals should be in your own words. “Piece of evidence” is where you use your research or
personal experience to back up your reasons why we should believe you.
*You must have at least two pieces of evidence to support each major point.
*You do not have to outline your introduction or conclusion.

*You MUST include your two persuasive techniques in your outline. Label them, put a colon, and then write
the sentence you will say using these techniques in the speech. Put them in the outline where they will actually
be said during the speech. If you do not do this, I will not know when to listen for your techniques and you
may be counted off for not having them in your speech.
*Do your outline exactly as this example is shown. Bold what I bold; do not bold what I do not bold!
