The International Conference of Asian Marketing Associations (ICAMA) is organized by three
major Asian marketing academic associations from Korea, Japan, and China. It is the first
international marketing conference by Asian marketing associations for marketing researchers in
Asia. The first ICAMA was held in Seoul, Korea in 2014. The second ICAMA will be held in Tokyo,
Japan in 2015 with the conference theme of “Emerging Trends in Asian Markets.” Researchers who
are interested in marketing issues in Asia are all welcome to present their work. Come to share your
ideas, and to find new friends in Asia!

Paper Submission Guidelines
1) Language options
Papers may be submitted and presented either in English or in local language (Chinese, Korean,
or Japanese). However, all authors should provide a one-page abstract written in English.
For global sessions: English
For local sessions: Chinese, Korean, or Japanese (English for the abstract)
For Doctoral Consortium: English
2) Areas of interest (Research tracks *tentative)
ICAMA 2015 will bring together researchers who are interested in a wide range of marketing
issues related to Asian markets.
Track I: Consumer Behavior in Asia
Track II: Communication Methods in Asian Markets
Track III: Product Management in Asia
Track IV: Cross-cultural Marketing in Asia
Track V: Distribution Channel and Retailing in Asia
3) Paper type options
Full paper (up to 20 double-spaced pages with a one page single-spaced abstract), or
abstract only (one single-spaced page)
4) Formatting basics
File Types: Microsoft Word (No PDFs, please)
Page Layout: A4 format with 25.4 mm margins on all four sides
Font: 12-point Times New Roman for English-written papers
(For local language papers, use proper fonts designated by each session chair.)
Page 1 (for both full papers and abstracts): Original manuscript title in the top line, centered,
with the first letter of each word capitalized (and English title in the next line for local
language papers) + One blank line + Name of authors and universities in English, centered
(one line per person) + One blank line + “ABSTRACT,” centered + One blank line + Text
(abstract in English—including research question, method and data, findings, and key
contributions), justified.
Page 2 and on (for full papers): Main text with proper headings + References (to be listed
alphabetically, last name first, followed by publication date in parentheses. Please follow
this style guide: www.ama.org/publications/JournalOfMarketing/documents/AMA_Reference_Style.pdf)
+ Endnotes + Tables + Figures + Appendices.
Main Text: Primary heading should be centered, all capitalized, with a return before and after.
Secondary heading should flush left, with title-style capitalization and a return before.
5) Submission procedures
All submissions should be made electronically. The online system will be open for authors in
July, 2015. Submitted paper will undergo a peer review process.

Awards
The ICAMA Award Committee will select a number of papers to receive the best conference
paper award, honorable recognition, and the best doctoral dissertation award. The committee will
also select several distinguished service award.
Only full papers will be considered for awards. Papers from global sessions that are awarded best
and honorable mentions will be considered for publication in a special issue of the Asia Marketing
Journal.

2) Delegate registration fee includes
(1) Admission to the opening ceremony, academic sessions, the networking dinner of Day 2, and
the closing ceremony of Day 3, (2) conference materials, and (3) a bento lunch of Day 2.
3) Payment
All conference registration fees should be paid in Japanese Yen (JPY) via the online payment
system. The system will be open in July 2015.
4) Cancellation
Sorry, the registration fee is not refundable.
5) Important notice
At least one author of each accepted paper must register and deliver a presentation in order for
the paper to appear in the final versions of the conference program and the proceedings.
Hotel Information
Rhiga Royal Hotel will offer a 10 % discounted conference rate for a limited number of rooms.
Call the hotel: +81− (0)3−5285−1121. Hotel Chinzanso is another recommended hotel near Waseda
University. Cheaper hotels are located near Shinjyuku Station (30 minutes to Waseda University).
