Political cartoons present myriad perspectives and varying voices to promote social change, to deliver sardonic criticism and/or lofty ideals, and to examine interrelationships among citizens, their states, and the world. Political cartoons often employ parody, caricature, irony, symbolism, persuasion, and allusion to make political and social commentary on language, culture, and global issues.
