FOR EACH OF THE TEXTS STUDIED THIS YEAR, (the novel, The Kite Runner, the poem “Beowulf”, ‘The Miller’s Tale’ of the poem “The Canterbury Tales”, and the play Othello), brainstorm in groups and write out the majors ideas behind the plot and themes, as well as the major characters, symbols, metaphors, moments of irony and dramatic irony. Once you have completed each of these categories for each of the texts, add a final category of ideas in common between texts.
