Diploma Plans Standard Graduation Requirements
Students may earn a TKA Diploma by completing all
Graduation Requirements, as well as the Unique Graduation
Requirements.
Students may earn this distinction by completing all requirements of the TKA Diploma as well as the following:
Three (3) credits in Foreign Language, which must consist of Level I, Level II, and Level III in the same foreign language
A combination of four (4) additional Advanced Measures;
A qualifying score on the PSAT test may count as one (1)
Advanced Measure only, while other measures may be counted more than once. These measures include:
score of 3 or above on the College Board Advanced
Placement Exam
earning a grade of “B” or better on courses that count for college credit
earning distinguished award pre-approved by the school in a special competition or project. (i.e.
Earning a distinguished place within an ACSI speech/debate competition, science fair, or the like.)
Because of TKA’s unique high school course schedule that mirrors that of a university schedule, some students attend the school but elect not to complete all of their Texas graduation requirements at TKA nor the requirements of the Distinguished Diploma. In this event, a TKA diploma is not awarded.
