Grendel Venn Diagram Perspective or Point of View is the position of the narrator in relation to the story, as indicated by the narrator's outlook from which the events are depicted and by the attitude toward the characters. In short, it’s the eyes through which we see the story. Depending on who is telling it, a story might completely change. This is certainly true in the case when considering the character Grendel, as portrayed in the epic poem Beowulf as opposed to his depiction in John Gardner’s novel Grendel.
