We welcome your ceremony on site. The time allotted for the ceremony must be within the rental
hours. Additional hours may be added as desired. Additional chairs may be rented and set up
charges may also apply depending on how many guests you will seat and where the ceremony
will be located. The Garden area or Natural Arch in the Glen are very popular, and includes 100
white folding chairs and set up. A 75.00 set up fee applies to the Amphitheatre area.

My husband and I got engaged in September 2010. We had originally planned to
get married in October 2012, but started researching venues anyway. We were
looking for someplace where we could have an outdoor ceremony and reception,
which wasn't easy to find. After a few months of internet searches, we found
Memorable Affairs and Fonthill Castle Estate. We went to an open house in
February 2011, and knew right away that this was our ideal venue. Pat from
Memorable Affairs was hosting the event and totally won us over (which wasn't
hard!). It was exactly what we wanted and we booked it immediately for August
2011.
I spoke with Cathy most frequently - she was incredibly wonderful and helpful. I
didn't experience any of the drama that most of my friends have experienced
while planning their weddings. Unfortunately, the weekend we picked was the
same weekend Hurricane Irene decided to hit the New Jersey/Pennsylvania area
and we were forced to reschedule for October. This is where Memorable Affairs
really stepped up to help us. As the new RSVPs trickled in slowly, Cathy
remained helpful, flexible, and positive the whole time - which was especially
awesome considering some people didn't respond until two days before our new
date. She was completely awesome and understanding the whole time.
When our wedding day finally arrived, everything was so perfect and amazing.
Fran kept everything running beautifully and smoothly the whole night. My
husband and I were free to enjoy our night completely stress-free. The food was
DELICIOUS - which is a big deal since we're both incredibly picky eaters. I
usually find chicken and cake to be too dry, and the vegetarian meals too salty.
Not so with Memorable Affairs. Everything was fresh, moist, and expertly
seasoned. We chose the chocolate chip pound cake for our wedding cake - it
was amazing. We ate left overs for a week!
I recommend this place to EVERYONE.

were an absolute pleasure to work with. They made every step of the process as
easy as possible, and they work with wonderful vendors (DJs, officiants,
photographers, florists, etc.). My husband and I (and our families) could not have

friends and family how wonderful the wedding was, and how it was the best

Affairs team were the height of responsiveness, professionalism, class, and good
taste. I work full time and live a 6 hour drive from Doylestown, and they were
incredibly responsive and flexible in arranging meeting times. I preferred to do
most of my communication via email, and always got a response within 1 day often within 1 hour, and they were able to answer every question and grant any
request we had. I was never made to feel that my endless questions were
annoying or stupid.
Most importantly the days leading up to our big day and the wedding day itself

easily handled any last minute requests. The wedding party had our own
attendant, and she was relaxed, friendly, and professional. I can not say enough

General Info for Fonthill Castle Estate Museum
Deposits
500.00 payable to Fonthill Museum (non-refundable)
Memorable Affairs, Inc. will invoice for the Museum and forward all payments to the Museum
For events booked in prior calendar year: 3,000.00 and 50% of estimated balance on January 10
For events booked in same calendar year: 50% of estimated balance now
Restroom Rentals require 50% deposit now
Payable to Memorable Affairs, Inc. along with this signed form is required to confirm your date.
Checks should be sent to Memorable Affairs, Inc. 1225 West Street Rd, Five Ponds Golf Club,
Warminster, PA 18974. All deposits paid to your account are non-refundable and will be
forfeited if you cancel this date for any reason.
Capacity
Terrace Pavilion:
36 for seated dinner only, upstairs, with no dancing or mingling room
20 for seated dinner, downstairs
70 for cocktail receptions, two floors, with no tables, limited seating
Terrace Pavilion Expanded with Tenting (In Season)
200 for seated dinner (including dancing)
Groups over 120 guests require additional restroom facilities (deposit of 50% of the rental due now)
Fees

Indoor Only
$20.00 per person, Saturdays – Minimum $2,000 min, 5 hour rental
$15.00 per person all other days - Minimum $1500.00 for 5 hours.
$5.00 per person $300 min, for 2 hour rental, weekdays only
$15.00 per person, $600 min, for 4 hour rental
Menu
Menus should be finalized ASAP to qualify for listed pricing. Price increases occur without notice,
and any menu changes will reflect new pricing, not current prices.
Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages must be provided by the host. Memorable Affairs staff must serve alcohol. A
valid photo ID will be required of all guests judged to be under 30 years of age in accordance with
state law. Guests judged visibly intoxicated will be refused service as per law. Memorable Affairs,
Inc. reserves the right to terminate liquor service at our discretion without refund to host. “Shots” are
prohibited. Bars close 30 minutes before the end of the event.
Set Up/Deliveries Nothing may be delivered, nor can set-up begin earlier than 2 hours prior to the event unless agreed
in advance
Arrival Time
Your rental time begins at the start time stated on your rental contract. Guests will not be admitted
into event spaces until the rental time. The time before your event start time is the catering set-up
time.
Rentals
All rental equipment must be coordinated through Memorable Affairs.
Personal Items
Personal belongings, including liquor, must be removed at the end of the event.
No Bridal Suite
The Museum does not have a dedicated bridal suite.
Time Limits
Event times are locked 6 weeks prior. Your rental begins and ends at the contracted times. Guests
will not be permitted to enter event spaces before this time. The museum offers an OUTDOOR Photo
Permit for a fee. It enables you to be on the property earlier than the rental begins. (no access to
indoor space) An additional overtime facilities charge of $150.00 per hour plus $32.50 per staff hour
is charged for additional hourly rentals, payable the day of the event. Outdoor music must cease by
9:45pm, in accordance with 10pm curfew. Breakdown will commence within 10 minutes of event
end.
Parking
All vehicles, including bridal party and wedding associates must be parked in the Fonthill parking lot.
Passengers may be dropped off, as well as cars unloaded in front of the buildings, before being

removed to the parking lot. Parking in front of the buildings is reserved for disabled guests. Neither
BCHS, Fonthill, or Memorable Affairs, Inc. are responsible for damages, theft, etc. We are not
monitoring or warranting that we are doing so.
Music
Bands and DJs are limited to outdoor events. Fonthill is in a residential area, and amplified music
levels are subject to the discretion of Memorable Affairs and/or Fonthill Museum in accordance with
Township Ordinances. Township Ordinance states maximum permissible sound-pressure levels for
smooth and continuous noise shall be no louder than 55 decibels at the property line. No noise from
recordings, loudspeakers or public address systems shall be allowed which interferes with the
reasonable enjoyment of adjacent residential properties.
Decorating
A written decorating plan must be submitted to the MA approval 60 days prior to event with a $250
security deposit. Decorations may not be affixed to chairs, walls, ceilings, flooring, doors or windows.
Candles are permitted on event tables only, provided they are covered with glass globes.
BALLOONS (some exceptions), BUBBLES, RICE, CONFETTI, GLITTER, FLOWER PETALS,
FEATHERS, PYROTECHNICS, ETC. are prohibited.
Artifacts
No collection items including tiles and furniture may be touched or moved without the permissions of
museum staff. The host should inform their guests to please refrain from touching, sitting on, or
otherwise disturbing artifacts in the museum. Host will be held responsible for damages.
Tours
Self-Guided tours of the ground floor of Fonthill are available after the Museum closes, from 5:15pm
until 6:15pm. A $350.00 fee, in addition to other rental fees is charged. Food and Beverages are not
permitted in the Museum.
Grounds
The facility rental does not include exclusive use of the surrounding grounds. It is understood that the
grounds are offered on an “as is” basis. Periodic maintenance may alter the aesthetics of Fonthill.
Please inquire about scheduled restoration projects.
Membership
The facilities of the Fonthill Museum are available for rental to individual and corporate members of
the Bucks County Historical Society. Your rental fee includes an individual membership which is valid
for one year commencing with the date of your event. (Membership will be issued to the person listed
below)

Tenting
In the event there are back-to-back events, it is not possible to effect an overnight change of some
equipment, especially tenting, restroom trailers or Port a Johns. In this case, the event with the
largest tent will prevail – if you have smaller tenting requirements you will benefit from the use of the
larger tent at no additional charge. (You will only pay for the smaller size).
Credit Cards
Payments are subject to a 3% convenience fee and are not accepted for final payment. (Prior
calendar year deposits excluded)
Personal Items
We cannot assume responsibility for damages or loss of any merchandise or articles left in the facility
prior to, during or following your function. Neither Fonthill nor Memorable Affairs, Inc. are responsible
for damages, theft, etc. We are not monitoring parking areas or warranting that we are doing so.
Due to limited storage space, we must limit the dropping off of personal belongings to two (2) cartons
prior to the day of your event. This may include place cards, party favors (within reason), guest book,
toasting glasses, cake knife and server. You can bring these items to our office in Hartsville. Let us
know if you have special needs.
Conduct
Children under the age of 18 must be directly and constantly supervised by a parent.
Place Cards
Please deliver the cards to Memorable Affairs in alphabetical order. If you have a split entrée menu,
guests’ menu selection must be noted on the seating chart.
Split Menus
We must know how many of each entree will be served at each table. Choice of Entrée and Seating
Chart Form must be filled out and returned to us 2 weeks prior. Please indicate meal choices by
using color-coded dots on the back of the place cards so that our servers know what each guest is
eating. The following color-codes should be used: Yellow=chicken, Red=beef, Blue=fish,

Green=vegetarian. Even when all these procedures are carefully followed, there can be
complications. Guests may switch seats at the same table, cards might get inadvertently moved, or
guests may change their minds and want a different entree than what they originally ordered. We
caution you that having a choice of entree may cause slower service than we usually provide and that
you may want.
Duet Entrees
You may opt for a duet entree, which features a 1/2 portion of two entree items on the same plate (for
example, a 1/2 portion of fish and a 1/2 portion of beef, including one sauce that complements both).
Vegetables and starches to accompany the entree should also be appropriate for both.
Preferred Vendors We have a referral list available to you, which includes the names of many professionals who have
worked with Memorable Affairs. Although you are not required to use these individuals, we highly
recommend them. However, if you choose to use vendors not on the preferred list, you are
responsible for providing proof of insurance and vendor forms. Failure to comply with this rule will
result in vendor being refused access to the property.
Every unique location has its own idiosyncrasies. The professionals we refer have worked many
events at our locations, and they understand the light, acoustics, layout, etc. of the house. If you are
planning to use a professional who has not worked at our site before, we strongly urge that they
schedule a time to see the site where they will be working.
Non- Preferred
If you have hired a professional not on the list, they must have liability insurance and provide proof 60
days prior to your event. Further, you will need to provide them with a copy of our rules and
regulations, which must be signed by them. Send Proof of Liability Insurance to Memorable Affairs,
Inc., 1225 W. Street Rd, Warminster, 18974 in the amount of $1,000,000 60 days prior to your event.
It is your responsibility to get these forms to us from your vendors. Vendors on our Preferred List
have already complied with the above requirements. Bride and Groom are responsible for collecting
and forwarding all insurance certs together to MA offices.
Rehearsals
You may schedule a rehearsal at a time prior to your wedding so long as it does not interfere with
another event taking place. Further, rehearsals may need to be rescheduled if another social or
corporate event books for the same time period. There is a charge of $200.00 per hour for rehearsals.
The actual rehearsal will probably take less than 1 hour. Please help us by keeping your bridal party
and others focused on the task at hand. Otherwise, your rehearsal may end up costing more than you
had anticipated. Alcohol prohibited
Due Dates
60 days prior to your wedding
Contact us to finalize your menu and linen choices if you have not already done so. Your final walkthru cannot be scheduled until menu is final. Vendor Information Forms must be completed by each
of your vendors along with a Certificate of Insurance (unless they are on our preferred list).
30 days prior to your wedding
Schedule your walk-thru with Cathy. Final count and final payment are due via cashiers check, wire transfer
or cash. Get started on the seating chart!
14 days prior to your wedding
Failure to submit your final seating chart 10 days prior to your wedding will default all linen colors to
ivory.
7 days prior to your wedding
Bring us your favors and name cards. We must limit the dropping off of personal belongings to
two (2) cartons prior to the day of your event. This may include place cards, party favors (within
reason), guest book, toasting glasses, cake knife and server. You can bring these items to our office
in Hartsville. Let us know if you have special needs.
I understand the above provisions and agree to abide by them. Furthermore, I agree to abide by any policy decisions
regarding misconduct, handling artifacts, smoking or alcohol, or weather-related changes reached by Fonthill Museum or
Memorable Affairs Catering staff. Deposits are non-refundable, and will be forfeited if I cancel this date for any
