Weddings at Horton Grange Country House Hotel - 2013
Thank you for your valued enquiry, we now have the pleasure in presenting you with the enclosed brochure, menus and
tariffs for your perusal. The splendor and seclusion of the Grade II listed Country House and its beautiful grounds are made
exclusively for you and your guests throughout your special occasion.
The venue hire charges (which are compulsory) are as follows:
Monday to Thursday - £700.00
Friday and Sunday - £995.00
Saturdays - £1400.00
Bank Holidays - £1400
NB: New Years Eve venue charge is £2000.00.
Horton Grange boasts 9 bedrooms which upon booking your reception will be reserved only to your party. The costs of the
bedrooms are £120.00 per room including breakfast, including 1 complimentary room for the Bride & Groom.
The menus are charged accordingly depending on your choice of Entrée; the various package options are enclosed within
your brochure (a 10% discretionary service charge on all food and drink taken will be added to your final bill). Our
maximum seating capacity (including a contemporary Round Top Table) in our dining room during the day can be 96
guests. An evening reception with a band or disco is up to 150 guests. All guests during the day must be catered for from
one of our 4 course menu selection and all guests during the evening must be catered for too. During the summer months
a Marquee can be placed on one of the lawns, taking a capacity up to 200. The cost of marquees can vary. Quotes are
given on request and we would be delighted to discuss any requirements that may have reqarding this.
A civil ceremony or civil partnerships are available at Horton Grange, with appropriate charges payable directly to the
Registrar Office. Please contact their new address: Alnwick Register Office, 27 Fenkle Street, Alnwick, Northumberland
NE66 1HW. Tel: 01665 602870. Garden Ceremonies are charged at an extra £225. This will be charged on the day of your
Reception and only charged if used. Due to Weather the decision for Garden Ceremony will be taken 3 hours prior to the
time for your Ceremony. A contingency plan will be in place to carry out the Ceremony within the Building if bad weather.

Should you decide the wonderful setting of Horton Grange is the ideal venue for you then your requested date (subject to
availability) can be guaranteed by the payment of a £1000.00 non re-fundable and non transferable deposit

Horton Grange Country House Hotel is offering the chance for one lucky couple to win a wedding in 2013.
The competition to win a wedding is available to any couple who book their 2013 wedding at Horton Grange Country House
Hotel between 1st November 2011 and 30th April 2012 (terms and conditions apply).
The winning couple will receive a package to have their wedding breakfast and evening reception hosted at the stunning
Grade II listed Country house hotel free-of-charge.
As part of the prize, winners will receive a wedding breakfast for up 50 guests and a complimentary drinks package,
together with an evening Buffet reception catering for up to 80 people. The winning couple will also receive a
complimentary bedroom to spend the evening of their Wedding Reception.
Guidance throughout the planning of the wedding from one of our Team at Horton Grange is also included

Terms and Conditions
The prize is as stated and cannot be exchanged for other items. No alternative will be offered for any element of the prize.
There will be no cash alternative. Entrance into the competition is only offered to new bookings for 2013, where the
deposit is received between 1st November 2011 and 30th April 2012 and where the wedding is between 2nd January 2013
and Tuesday 31st December 2013. The wedding prize is non transferable.
Please note that the Registrar cannot be included in the prize. The registrar must be organised and paid for by the couple
(if required) for a civil ceremony.
* The prize package for the wedding breakfast relates to the first 50 guests only. Any additional guests that you may wish
to attend the wedding reception will be charged at £75.00 per person.
** The prize package for the evening reception relates to the first 80 guests only. Any additional guests that would like to
attend the Evening Reception will be charged at £17.00 per person
Any credit will be refunded to client on day of departure. Deposit is Non refundable.
Winner will be announced Tuesday 1st May 2012.
Wedding Terms & Conditions
Deposits, Payments & Charges
The Venue charge for having the splendor and seclusion of Horton Grange Country House Hotel and its beautiful estate grounds exclusively for use of
yourselves and your guests throughout your special occasion is as follows; Monday to Thursday is £7.00.00, Fridays & Sundays is £995.00 and on
Saturdays is £1400) Drinks and Food are charged at the prevailing VAT rate.
All weddings bookings must take a minimum 4 course wedding breakfast during the day.
A Civil Ceremony taking place within the hotel will incur a Registrar and Attendants at the appropriate rate. Garden Ceremonies are charged at an extra
£200. This will be charged on the day of your Reception and only charged if used. Due to Weather the decision for Garden Ceremony will be taken 3 hours
prior to the time for your Ceremony. A contingency plan will be in place to carry out the Ceremony within the Building if bad weather.
A Deposit of £1000.00(non-refundable & non transferable) is required within 7 days of a provisional booking being made in order to confirm your booking.
A second £1000.00 deposit is required 6 months prior to your date, which will also be non refundable.
The final balance must be paid 14 days prior to your reception taking place. 21 days prior to your reception taking place final numbers will be required.
These numbers then become the minimum charge.
It is agreed that any food, drink or services not mentioned in the contract but asked for at the hotel will be paid when the bill for such items is presented.
A 10% discretionary service charge will be added on all packages. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate
Cancellations
There is no charge (other then losing your deposit of £1000) if you find it necessary to cancel the function more than 6 months before the event, if we are
successful in re-letting the room for a similar function. Otherwise a charge of 25% of the estimated total and pre-booked food and beverage will be made.
If a cancellation occurs between 3 and 6 months in advance there is a charge of 50% of the estimated account. If a cancellation occurs 3 months or less in
advance there is a 100% cancellation charge of the estimated account.
We retain the right to cancel without obligation or financial liability in the very unlikely event of fire, industrial dispute or any unforeseen circumstances
outside our control, or by order of any public authority.
Insurance
It is the clients (The Wedding Party) responsibility to organize appropriate insurance for the event.
General
Fire Precautions; in the unlikely event of a fire, the guests will use the fire exits to which employees direct them.
Any materials, mechanical or electrical brought in by you, or at your request, (e.g. Discos, Bands, Etc) must be brought to the attention of the hotel in
writing. You will need the hotels consent before such items can be brought in and they must comply with all the current relevant regulations. (Electrical
Testing and Public Liability Insurance). In the event of any problems, you will be liable for damage or injury arising from the use of the equipment, unless
is has been cased by the negligence of the hotels employees.
Equipment hired in by Horton Grange Hotel for any function necessary will incur costs by you the client.
We regret that we cannot be held responsible for the security of your (or your guests) property; though obviously we will do all we can to look after it.
Because of fire regulations you cannot let off any incendiary or explosive devices in the hotel or its grounds.
Any damage (by you or your guests) to Horton Grange Hotel will be repaired by the hotel and costs incurred will be charged to you the client.
