movie, Mel Gibson plays a man named Benjamin Martin. Benjamin is swept
into the American Revolution when the war reaches his South Carolina
home and threatens his family. Benjamin and his son, Gabriel, fight side by
side in this emotional depiction of the Revolutionary War. The students
have learned about the war in class, and this movie provides an excellent
opportunity to visualize the fight for a young nation’s freedom.
