TRUSTS AND FOUNDATIONS MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Background
Aldeburgh Music is an international performance centre with education and artist development at
its heart. Founded in 1948 by the leading British composer Benjamin Britten, the Aldeburgh
Festival quickly became not only an international music festival but somewhere that the most
talented young and established musicians could be inspired to achieve greater things.
Backed by Arts Council England, following our £16m expansion we aim to make Aldeburgh Music
the national centre of excellence for the development of musicians, providing support to musicians
from age 8 years up to the leading musical figures of the day.
In recent years we completed the largest phase of a major capital expansion, opening the
Hoffmann Building adjacent to Snape Maltings Concert Hall. With its four studios, office space and
social areas, it is a fantastic addition to the creative campus at Snape Maltings. This campus is
unrivalled in the music world – four performance spaces, fifteen smaller studios, extensive ancillary
facilities including offices, and social areas, devoted year-round to nurturing artistic talent of all
ages.
