Blocking Outline for Philosophy
of Success paper
This is a suggestion, it is not mandatory that
you do it only this way. If you have another
approach, however, please explain to me
what you have in mind.
Introduction
Paragraph 1: Get the readers interested
and define what success means to YOU.
Definition of success: includes dictionary
definitions and your own definition.
*(Include the paragraph with Downing’s
definition as paragaph two or following the
description of your successful life.)
One to three prargraphs describing the
successful life you dream about living in 10
years or 20 years. What job will you be
doing? What would a typical day be like?
What will your home life look like at the
end of the day? What will your family life
be like? Describe the car you drive, your
home, your home life. Dream. Dream!
DREAM!!
*If you will follow Skip Downing’s definition
of success, write a paragraph in which
you include the choices, characteristics, or
behaviors of successful people. These are
