Students are held accountable for 1-2 infants (potato/es) depending upon their situation. Ultimately, students will understand the responsibilities and difficulties associated with family, relationships, and consequences to actions. B) Expectations: Police Officer – Police Officers are to perform surveillance on the participating members of the Infant Project. Officers are expected to write a detailed observation of each day of surveillance. The observation will include three (3) detailed paragraphs with each paragraph being at least five (5) sentences in length. These observations may include, but are not limited to, child neglect, “kidnapping”, parental difficulties, etc. THE FINAL DRAFT OF THE LOG, INCLUDING THE ESSAY, MUST BE TYPED. The essay is about the student’s experience with the “Infant Project”, and what was learned through this process / observations of this process. The essay is to be three (3) paragraphs with each paragraph being at least five (5) sentences long. Essays are to be typed in full, complete sentences. C4) Surveillance: ~ Observed by: School instructors D) Extra Credit Options: 1) Photo Album: a) All photo albums must be: 1) Labeled (Example: Steve performing surveillance at 8:30am) 2) Comprised of at least 10 photos 3) Contain two (2) photos performing surveillance; one (1) photo of a child/children being aided by the police; one (1) photo of the police officer teaching a child / children a positive lesson, one (1) photo of the police officer taking a parent in for neglect of their child, or another parent’s child; and one (1) photo of the police officer thanking a parent for parenting well. The remaining photos may be candid. E) Grading: A grade will be determined by the final project which is to be submitted on Monday, December 14, 2015. The final product must include all elements found under the PROJECT REQUIREMENTS. Students participating in the EXTRA CREDIT OPTION will have that reflected in the final grade.
