1. When all of the people were taken out of the van, Paul negotiated with the
leaders and paid money.
2. When the Hutu army came into the hotel, Paul called the leaders in Europe
for help. He bribed the army leaders and gave them the wrong guest list.
3. When Paul’s Tutsi neighbors came to his house, Paul hid them and made
the Hutu army think these neighbors were Hutus.
4. When Paul goes with the General to the other hotel and the Interhemwe is
in the Des Mille Colline, Paul threatens the general and says he will not help
him after the war unless the General helps Paul now.
5. When the Refugees leave the hotel in the UN trucks, Paul calls the General
