Ensure work is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner and coordinate work planning and scheduling with the maintenance planner. Essential Functions (Core Responsibilities integral to the job – must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation. Includes supervisory responsibility, use of equipment, and indication of key contacts, if applicable) Oversee and schedule all mechanical; new construction, repair and maintenance of all processing and building support systems at Columbia Crest winery. Support satellite facilities with industrial systems and machining needs Supervise, schedule and provide direction to maintenance department personnel at Columbia Crest with occasional supervision, as needed, at satellite locations. Formulate and monitor work orders and establish priorities and assignment of appropriate personnel to complete projected workflow while maintaining production standards for quantity and quality Responsible for ensuring safety on all mechanical assignments in accordance with safety guidelines and quality control standards Non-Essential Functions (Desirable, but not necessary aspects of the job, can be performed by other employees, may include occasional or periodic functions) Perform other related duties as required Working Conditions Majority of work inside winery environment and some work out doors. Physical Requirements (Physical demands required by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Ability to stand, squat, kneel, bend at waist, push, pull, drag, and climb stairs High School Diploma required, degree and/or graduation from a technical school preferred Must possess mechanical aptitude requiring knowledge or experience in the following areas: industrial refrigeration, juice process equipment repair, electrical trouble shooting, waste water, potable water, refrigeration, steam boilers, building materials and maintenance , as well as welding and mechanical repairs of pumps, filters, temperature control systems and HVAC; lathe and mill work for in house repairs of essential equipment. Demonstrated supervisory experience required Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a winery, food processing facility or similar environment involving the responsibilities as outlined above Experience with a CMMS, Data Streams 7i preferred. Must have ability to work extended hours during harvest and peak periods to include periodic shift work Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong motivational abilities Computer literacy encompassing MS Office.
