ERWC Value of Life--In Class Essay Prompt: Imagine you are at dinner with Hamlet, Steve Jobs, and anther individual we studied and discussed in class (Edmund Dantes, Mercedes, or Ferdinand from ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’, Sam Bern’s from ‘The Patriots Biggest Fan’ or Roger Ebert from ‘Roger Ebert: The Essential Man’). As the appetizer course finishes and the main dish is about to be served the topic, ‘What is a human life Worth?’ comes up. What does each think of the value of life (provide textual support for your answer) and make sure you contribute your opinions to the conversation. Directions: It is an in class essay, however you can use your ERWC books and whatever notes you have in your ERWC book. The format is up to you. You place us there at the dinner table as the conversation is taking place, you can be reflecting on the conversation later that night, or you can be looking back at this conversation from some later point in your life. However you format it, your essay must include: -An MLA formatted essay -A statement about Hamlet’s value of life and textual support for your claim about Hamlet. -A statement about Steve Jobs’ value of life and textual support for your claim about his V.of L. -A statement about the third individual’s value of life and textual support for your statement.
