St. Thomas Council Knights of Columbus Scholarship Application Scholarship Amount A total of 4-$125 scholarships are anticipated. The Knights of Columbus reserve the right to increase or decrease the number of scholarships or amount of scholarship. Eligibility This scholarship is open for applicants served by one of the four Catholic Parishes linked in the greater Beloit/Clinton area through the Madison Diocese, and are completing the final semester of high school and enrolling in any accredited secondary education institution. Application deadline is March 1st. Process With the application include a specific essay of your thoughts of or experience with one of the following cornerstones of the Knights of Columbus: Charity, Unity, Fraternity, or Patriotism. The essay should be no longer than one side, double spaced, typed page. It may be handwritten. The application and essay should be enclosed in a plain business envelope and mailed to: St. Thomas Council of the Knights of Columbus, 939 Liberty Ave. Beloit, WI 53511. Selection Applications with essays will be judged by the Knights of Columbus prior to April 15. The essay will be judged in part for thoughtfulness and expression within the specified essay length. GPA’s may be used to determine a winner in the place of a tie. Winners will be notified by either regular mail, electronically or by telephone. Due to the number of applicants, persons not winning will not be notified. Applications and essays become property of the Knights of Columbus and will not be returned. Decisions are final.
