Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life
Beginning in 1968 as a small group of Minnesota residents willing to
speak up for the right to life for all persons, MCCL has become the
nation’s largest state pro-life organization with more than 77,000
contributors and 241 chapters statewide.

If You Are Pregnant: Information on Fetal Development,
Abortion and Alternatives
This 26-page resource was created by the Minnesota
Department of Health in response to the Woman’s Right
to Know Act, which requires that a woman be provided
with certain information at least 24 hours prior to
having an abortion. Includes the medical risks associated with pregnancy and abortion, the age and development of her unborn child, and medical assistance benefits that may be available to her. Also included are
color photos and illustrations, as well as detailed information concerning fetal development, the types and
risks of abortion, and the father’s legal responsibility.

Speakers — Knowledgeable pro-life speakers are available through the MCCL Speakers
Bureau. Speakers tailor programs for any age level.
Videos — Provide an excellent means of communicating the pro-life message. A wide
variety of videos are available through MCCL’s extensive lending library.
Fetal Models — Actual life-size models, depicting the unborn child at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7
months are extremely effective in illustrating the humanity of the unborn.
Resource Library — Books for all ages regarding abortion, infanticide and euthanasia
are available for loan from the MCCL Resource Center.
Cassette Library — Numerous audio cassettes featuring state and national pro-life
speakers are available for loan. Contact MCCL for a complete listing.
In-Depth Materials — The MCCL Resource Center features in-depth vertical
information files on numerous aspects of life issues. All principal pro-life publications
as well as other appropriate newsletters and publications are also available.
Books & Literature For School & Public Libraries — Pro-life books and appropriate
literature for libraries are available from MCCL. Both the MCCL State Office and
many MCCL chapters provide local libraries with pro-life books and materials for
vertical files.
Booth & Display Materials — A display lending library is maintained at the MCCL office
with materials such as fetal models, backdrop displays, posters and banners available
for loan. Auxiliary items such as pro-life pencils, stickers, lapel roses and bumper
stickers are also available.
Consultant Services — MCCL officers, staff and regional chapter leaders frequently
act as consultants to students, schools, churches and organizations in preparing
papers, establishing pro-life education programs and setting up displays. Many
students personally visit the MCCL Resource Center to browse for materials.
