Median
The median is the middle score when the scores are written in order from smallest to largest.
1. If there is an odd number of scores, the median is the middle score.
eg 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 5 , 6 , 9 , 9 has 9 scores
The median is 5 as it is the middle score.
2. If there is an even number of scores there will be two middle scores.
The median is the average of these two middle scores.
eg 1, 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 6 , 6 , 9 , 9 has 10 scores
The median is the average of the two middle scores, 5 and 6.

= 5 +2 6 = 5.5
