Our Present Situation The people of Whitewater have suffered a devastating collapse, one that has eradicated every institution, business and structure across the Midwest. Our ecological technology, production, and food supply have been ripped out of our grasp, destroyed, and shattered across our state, leaving us to pick up the pieces to renew what we once had. Left in this thick fog of perished dreams and once prosperous land, we have brought forth nominated leaders who will voluntarily serve as our advisory council. These people will strive to lead us out of this catastrophe and put us on the path toward a new and more prosperous life. Generational Dilemmas Our current generation has brought forth problems that have given us years of increasing epidemics, diseases, and human loses. Starting now, we will eliminate all causes of: Unhuman-like growths Deteriorated worthless shacks as community homes Increased school drop-out rates, negligent grades, and bloody gang warfare Exploitation of money for explicit pornography Severe malnutrition and decomposed human corpses An Optimistic Future As a new primitive community, the people of Whitewater have a rare chance to unite together to rebuild this once havocked town into a new, functional, and constructive neighborhood. We can’t continue on with our past, but we should instead sculpt our future to do right. Within our power we will help save those of our community, stabilize our town’s structural system, and contribute to the survival of our new community, and most importantly, life. Do not think of this collapse as a tragedy, but instead as a chance for a fresh new beginning. Wendy Patterson 5-5-04 The Illnesses Problems such as high mortality rates, deadly illnesses and un-human like growths have plagued the citizens of Whitewater for as far back as we can remember. The most prominent source of these infirmities is the result of local farming pesticides that have mutated into gangly, cancer-like bodies that infest and slowly mutilate the internal organs of our people. These epidemics were caused by the intake of foods treated with pesticides, foreign hormones, and GMO enriched products. Working the farmlands has now turned into a deadly job, rather then a safe one. By turning this problem around, we can start to fill the gaping void that has been left in our hearts and our past. Looking to Solutions To guarantee that this problem does not occur once more, we have taken it upon ourselves to change the way our food is grown and produced. As a community of family and friends we will: Declare all farming and food production pesticide free Re-soil all barren lands and begin organic farming Destroy catalyst hormones for our livestock Distribute ownership of land equally Teach the ways of farming to all who care to learn Road to Recovery By uncovering what Mother Nature gave us at the start, this alternative solution promotes an organic, healthy way of life while at the same time enhancing the quality of life. These family farmlands will promote important relationships between neighbors due to increased communication and agricultural support. This new array of unaltered food will not only promote new delicious recipes, but also change and increase the eating habits of those suffering from starvation and malnutrition. By growing food organically, there will always be enough food for the community, allowing no one to go hungry or be left in isolation. Wendy Patterson 5-5-04
