Newly admitted students along with their Parents, Senior Officials, Faculty Members of the Institute etc. had participated in the Orientation Programme. During the programme the Principal had highlighted and narrated the importance of Technical and Management Education, achievements of the Institute in the past, the infrastructure and various facilities available for the students in the Institute, and outlined the role of highly qualified, experienced, devoted and committed Faculty Members and the commitment of the students. She added that through rigorous and intensive teaching methods, the Institute aims at equipping its students to build themselves as the Asset of the Nation. She had also explicated that with the best pedagogical techniques, conducive atmosphere and virtual classrooms; BPIBS provides its students a foray of creativity and out-of-box thinking, in addition to their routine classroom sessions. SEMINAR ON “JAVA & DOT NET” A One Day Seminar on “JAVA & Dot Net” was organized by BPIBS in its MultiPurpose Hall on 02-4-2013 for the students MCA Programme by M/s. Shahtek, Delhi. The main aim of the programme was to inculcate the basic Language Programming Skills in JAVA and learning the runtime environment of Dot Net, as Dot Net is the framework for many different languages – including some very odd Java Dot Net implementations. The MCA Students had evinced keen interest in imbibing the essence of the lecture on the uses of JAVA & Dot Net in its applications and had interacted with the Expert on the topics raising various queries for clarifications, at the end of the programme. 2. WORKSHOP ON “SOFTWARE TESTING TOOLS” A One Day Workshop on the topic of “Software Testing Tools” was organized by BPIBS in its Multi-Purpose Hall on 05-9-2013 for MCA Students in association with an Industrial Expert on the Core Field – Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jha. The Workshop had revolved on various types of Testing Tools based on the groups of testing activities or areas that are supported by a set of tools like support management activities, tools to support static testing, tools support for test specification, tools support for testing execution and logging, tools support for performance and monitoring etc. The Industrial Expert Mr. Jha had meticulously clarified all the queries raised by the students then and there during the Workshop. 3. PUBLIC SPEAKING EDUCATION) FOR SKILL-UPGRADTION (UNDER CONTINUING A One Day Expert/Special Lecture was organized by BPIBS in its Multi-Purpose Hall on “Public Speaking” in association with Times Education on 04-10-2013 for its Management Students. The Experts from the Core Field of Communication Skills had delivered Lectures covering the following important elements: How to increase in Self-Confidence? How to make you more comfortable around other people? How to communicate effectively in English Language and Speaker’s Vernacular? What are the most effective ways to get your message across? What will you need to do at some point in your life? How to demonstrate your knowledge and capability in Public Speaking? How to differentiate yourself amongst others? How to Form a Tribe of Supporters around you? The Management Students had fully enjoyed this Session and immediately responded that their degree of confidence in them had increased to a greater extent and added that they would be able to face the issues and challenges in Public Speaking which is the core constituent of overall Communication Skills. 4. PLACEMENT-ORIENTED WORKSHOP BPIBS had organized a One Day “Placement-Oriented Workshop” for the students of its MBA and BBA Programmes on 15-10-2013 in its Multi-Purpose Hall. The Management students had evinced keen interest in learning various strategies as given below: Placement processes, for those interested in finding a placement. Orientation requirements, for those who have confirmed placements including: o Mandatory Orientation: What all students must complete before starting their placement. o Expected Orientation: What we expect students to know before starting their placement. o Helpful Orientation: What students may be interested in knowing before starting their placement. Discipline-specific information. Preparation of Excellent Curriculum Vitae Selection of Job How to Face Interviews at different situations How to create confidence in the minds of the students etc. The Management Students had immensely benefited out of this Workshop and they had responded that by attending this worthy Workshop, they had got a right track which would lead them to the right path of their career as well as their life. 5. EXPERT LECTURE ON “MOCK INTERVIEW”: A One Day Expert Lecture on the topic of “Mock Interview” was organized by BPIBS in its Multi-Purpose Hall in association with Times Education on 31-01-2014 for its Management Students. The Expert Lecture had advised/cautioned with the following ingredients: Do not introduce Negative Qualify your Statements Layout highly specific examples before the interview Don’t merely answer the question; understand and answer the purpose lying behind the question. Connections with the job etc. The Expert Lecture had gone on well with the interactive session between the participantstudents and the Expert on the subject which brought up a number of solutions to the students’ anxiety and relief in the form of a Tool to apply, while attending their original interview, besides enhancing their Communication Skills. 6. SPECIAL/EXPERT LECTURE ON “HOW TO DO GROUP DISCUSSION & INTERVIEW?” In order to nurture Soft Skills amongst Management Students, BPIBS had organized a One Day Special/Expert Lecture in its Multi-Purpose Hall on the topic of “How to do Group Discussion and Interview” on 05-02-2014. The Expert Lecture revolved about the importance of Group Discussion as a Core Element of Communication Skills, besides Leadership Skills, Decision-Making Skills, Skills on the better understanding of the reasons behind people’s action and opinions, Skills on reaching consensus in Group situations etc. A special insight was given in the Expert Lecture on the topic of “Interview” covering various areas like – How to prepare CV for the Interview? How to face the Individual and Committee of Members in the Interview? How to keep Mark Statements, Testimonials, Credentials, Track Records etc. in an orderly manner before attending interview? At the penultimate stage of Lecture, an Interactive Session had gone on between the Field Expert and the Student-Participants for alleviating the fears prevailing amongst the students. In-a-nutshell, the Expert Lecture was a great grand success. 7. ONE DAY SEMINAR ON “YOUTH EDUCATION” A One Day seminar was organized by BPIBS in its Multi-Purpose Hall on 03-3-2014 for its Management Students on the topic of “Youth Education”. Educational developments, patterns, trends, options and objectives as they relate to young people were the focus of this Session. The Expert Lecture covered an evidence-based overview on the challenges and inequalities faced in different contexts, with attention given to the invisibility of youth as a statistical category, comparisons between developed and developing countries, the gender gap, and deficiencies and requirements with respect to “old” and “new” literacy. Educational achievements and goals were addressed within the Education for All frameworks. The Expert Lecture repeatedly emphasized the importance of relying on multiple pedagogies and approaches—including formal, non-formal and distance education—in achieving worldwide educational objectives amongst the youth. 8. INDUSTRIAL MOTIVATION CAMPAIGN [IMC] BY MSME DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE, DELHI BPIBS had organized a One Day Industrial Motivation Campaign [IMC] on 04-3-2014 under the aegis of MSME-Development Institute, Ministry of Micro, Medium and Small Enterprises, Government of India, New Delhi, for its students of all the Programmes. The Programme was inaugurated by Shri R.P. Vaishya, Director, MSME Development Institute, New Delhi. The objective to organize such Motivation campaign is to make the younger generation, especially the youth aware of various Government Schemes for Self-Employment. The Target Groups for organizing Industrial Motivation Campaign is the Final Year students of various Technical as well as Degree Levels Colleges in the country, so that the youth could be motivated for self-employment by availing the facility of various Government Agencies. There was an interactive session at the end of the Programmes for various queries raised by the students for availing the facility of Government Assistance in providing finance for self-employment. 10. EXPERT LECTURE ON “PERFORMANCE ORIENTED SOLUTIONS TOWARDS INTERNATIONAL BEST PRACTICES IN PROCESS MODELLING” BPIBS had organized a One Day Expert Lecture on “Performance Oriented Solutions towards – International Best Practices in Process Modelling” in its Mult-Purpose Hall on 25-32014 in collaboration with M/s. VQMS Six Sigma Company, New Delhi, for its MCA Students. The Field Expert had covered and discussed widely about the set of standards, best practices and management models that have been considered as the main constituents in Process Modeling. At the end of the Lecture, there was an interactive session between the Student-Participants and the Expert on the dais for the queries and corresponding clarifications on the subject. [DR. (MRS.)
