In addition to the requirements noted below, students must meet all University-wide requirements (including General
Education, residency, grade-point averages, total credits, and so on) specified in the Undergraduate Bulletin pertaining
to their admission. Each student's DARS Degree Audit shows the requirements that must be met, based on the major(s),
minor(s), and degree program that are currently declared.
Admission to the Major
For students matriculating Fall 2004 or later, completion of both Eco 110 and 111 with grades of C or
better is required for admission to the major.
Economics B.A. Program, Major Requirements (minimum 36 credits for B.A. degree):

Students who are admitted to the University on a "Freshman" basis beginning Fall 2000 must fulfill all requirements of
the (New) General Education Program.
Students who are admitted on a "Transfer" basis beginning Fall 2002 and who were not matriculated at any college
before Fall 2000 must fulfill a reduced set of requirements of the Program – only one course in Natural Sciences and one
course in Social Sciences is required.
