Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) A two-day workshop for educators and parents to learn the safe management of aggressive behaviour – how to prevent incidents and how to mitigate them safely. At the end of the training, successful participants will come away with a certificate issued by the Crisis and Prevention Institute Inc. This is valid for two years. There are a wide range of assistive technologies that have proved useful to Māori students. The key message of this workshop is that whatever the learning need there is equipment or an app or a programme that can be used to support Māori students. If participants know of any good examples, bring them along. Course Objectives: to discuss what assistive technologies can assist Māori students to discuss how assistive technology can be set up in ways that support the learning of Māori students to discuss what technology can support the learning of Te Reo to share experiences and ideas of the value of assistive technology for Māori students.
