Come on an adventure at the 2011 Sydney Royal Easter Show
Tickets have gone on sale for Australia’s favourite family event - the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
There is something new and exciting around every corner at this year’s Show, which runs from Thursday 14
April to Wednesday 27 April.
Michael Collins, General Manager of the Sydney Royal Easter Show, said with the Show falling in the NSW
school holidays, it is the perfect time for a fun filled family day out.
“This year’s Show brings the best of the country to the heart of the city, celebrating the traditions of
agricultural excellence and providing great entertainment. You will find plenty of attractions from the fast and
furious to food and farming,” said Mr Collins.
Entertaining favourites the Psycho Sideshow, woodchop and the spectacular District Exhibits will be joined by
brand new attractions like the Bushwhacker Lumberjack Show, the Sydney Royal Frog and Reptile Show and
the first-time appearance of “Fonzy” – Australia’s Tallest Steer.
Test your bravery on one of the 56 thrilling rides in Australia’s largest carnival, take your pick from more than
300 showbags, watch the bravest riders in the Sydney Royal Rodeo Series and feed the baby animals in the
Dairy Farmers Farmyard Animal Nursery.
ShowLink tickets - which cover entry price and return public transport fares for Sydney metropolitan areas and
train fares from as far north as Newcastle and south to Wollongong - are available via the Easter Show
website www.eastershow.com and select Australia Post metropolitan outlets.
“We understand families need to keep an eye out for a great deal. The print-at-home Family ShowLink ticket
offers 15% off the regular price of two adult and two child tickets. You can also pre-purchase your carnival
coupons and print them at home for a 31.5% saving,” said Mr Collins.
“Children aged three years and under have free admission to the Show, so bring the kids along for the day
and introduce them to one of Australia’s oldest family traditions - the Easter Show,
“Not only will the kids have a fun filled day, they will be able to meet our farmers and learn where their food
comes from,” said Mr Collins.
