Alumni Career Resources & Services
[Body of page]
Thinking about a career transition or continuing your education?
Help in finding a job or improving your career doesn’t end with graduation. Rutgers graduates have a lifelong career line at
any on-campus office, on the web, or through Rutgers’ many reciprocal agreements at career centers across the country.
All alumni have access to these services […/services/careers.shtml], but alumni association members enjoy the
following additional benefits.
Career Counseling
Discuss your career issues in-depth with a Rutgers career counselor. Alumni association members have access to all the
same services unaffiliated alumni do, plus these special benefits:
The first one-hour session is free for New Brunswick alumni association members. Normally, there is a $40/hour fee for
alumni. Call 732/932-7997 for an appointment. For quick questions or a resumé critique, 15-minute “drop-in” sessions are
available for free.
In Newark, there is no fee for career counseling appointments for alumni association members. Otherwise, there is a
charge of $35 to initiate or reactivate your CDC file. Ten-minute “drop-in” sessions are available for quick questions or
résumé critiques at no cost.
In Camden, appointments with professional staff for career counseling, graduate professional school advisement, and job
search coaching are available. The $35 annual fee is waived for all alumni who show a current membership card.

RUTGERS GOLF COURSE
Rutgers University 18-Hole Golf Course, located in the township of Piscataway on the university’s Busch campus, was
opened in 1963. Course play is open to the public. The golf course is par 71 for men, par 72 for women, 6,000 plus yards
in length, and a challenging layout with 4 teeing areas per hole. The picturesque course design is highlighted by having
each hole named for a specific tree. The par 3 eleventh hole is a signature hole, bordered by a 200-year-old sour gum
tree. In 2000, Golf Digest Magazine [italic, not link] awarded the Rutgers University Golf Course 3-1/2 stars in its “Places
to Play.” The Rutgers University Golf Course is the home and main practice facility for the Rutgers University men’s and
women’s golf teams, as well as the site of several major intercollegiate, scholastic and open tournaments.

Returning for their annual St. Patrick’s Day weekend concert at NJPAC, these talented musicians make traditional Irish

Sweet Honey in the Rock
This Grammy Award-winning African-American female a cappella ensemble devotes itself to the sacred music of the
Black church—spirituals, hymns and gospel—as well as jazz and blues. Powerful vocals and percussion instruments are
blended with moving lyrics, movement and narrative, all accompanied by simultaneous interpretation in American Sign
Language. “They turn whatever space they inhabit into a combination of church, safe house, political rally and dance hall,”
says The Washington Post [italic, not link]. “The mix is so fierce as to make one truly believe that music can change the
world.”

Regional Alumni Clubs
[Body of page]
The Rutgers University Alumni Federation sponsors more than 40 club programs across the United States and abroad to
help the university’s 330,000 alumni to stay in touch with friends and classmates.
Some regional clubs sponsor a wide range of social, athletic, and educational or professional events throughout the year.
Other, smaller, clubs may have only one or two events per year. All clubs welcome new contacts from alumni and friends
and encourage you to get involved.
This directory lists clubs alphabetically by state, followed by international clubs listed by country. For more information,
alumni are encouraged to contact the club leaders whose names appear.
