Hello Parents,
It is with an immense amount of excitement that I introduce myself to you. My name is Ben Palmer; I am the new head
coach for Christian Life varsity football. I just finished my 1st week as a Crusader, and I could not be more optimistic
about the future of this football program, the school, and the church. Amazing things are happening here; God's glory is
going to be revealed!
I realize you may not have a son that plays high school football here at Christian Life, but if you have a son that will be
entering the 7th or 8th grade then please allow me to invite you to a football parents meeting that I will be hosting
on Wednesday, June 10th. The meeting will start at 7pm in the CLF sanctuary and shouldn't last more than an hour. Your
attendance is not required, but it is strongly encouraged. I would love to meet each of you and let you hear my plans for
the junior high football program. Crusader football is going to become a PROGRAM, from the varsity all the way down
to the middle school. I will be heavily involved in all levels, as I know that's the only way to build an excellent program.
If your son is entering the 9th grade, the parent meeting is being considered mandatory for parents/guardians of high
school football players. A lot of important information will be passed at the meeting about my plans for this program and
this upcoming season so please be there if you can.
This week we started our summer strength and conditioning program for the "big 3" boys sports (baseball, basketball,
football). It is a requirement for all 9th-12th graders who want to play football in the fall to be participating in the
workouts. If your student is an incoming 7th or 8th grader then again, I strongly encourage them to be there. We have 6
coaches leading these workouts so there is plenty of supervision and a great deal of coaching happening. It is a great
opportunity to get your student out of the house and be active this summer, while making friends at the same time. Come
time for junior high football to start, he will be light years ahead of the rest when it comes to the physical shape he is in
and knowledge of the playbook. Our middle school and junior high teams will be running the same new offense and
defense that the varsity team runs on Friday nights, so getting a head start now will pay off big time. As coaches, we
understand the difference in a 7th grader and a 12th grader, and will never put the younger kids in a position to be injured
or where they must match up against a student way older than they are. The focus for the 7th and 8th graders will be
teaching the fundamentals and keeping them in good physical shape, while also learning all the valuable life lessons that
athletics teaches.

any questions you may call me at 281-222-3612 or email me atbenjamin.palmer@gocrusaders.com
I look forward to meeting you and helping to making a difference in your student's life.
Respectfully,
Ben Palmer
