INT. Street- Morning
Two teenagers are walking down the road.
Tim
I hate horror movies. I don’t want to see it!
Karen
Common! That new movie is playing. You know… zombie town. I heard it’s
supposed to be a good movie. It’s about this town that gets infested
with zombies and only one person lives.
Tim
Yeah, but I hate horror movies. They always give me nightmares, even
daymares.
Karen
You don’t want me to tell the whole school that you’re a sissy, just
because of a little movie?
Tim
Fine… I’ll go. Be at the theater at eight o clock
Karen
Ok.
FADE OUT
INT. Tim’s house- Night
Tim
By mom. I’m going with Karen to the movies.
Mom
Really? Karen. She’s pretty, isn’t she?
Tim
Yeah, Uh… no. We’re just friends. I’m taking her to see a scary movie.
Mom
But you hate scary movies.
Tim
I know.
Mom
Well, you two have a good time.
Tim
Tell dad I said bye.
Mom
I will.
Tim
Bye.
FADE OUT
INT. Front of theater- Night
Karen runs up to Tim.
Karen
I’m sorry I’m late! I really am. My mother wanted to talk to me about
boys.
Tim
Yeah, I know what you mean.
Karen
There looks like there isn’t anyone here.
Tim
Lets go check it out.
CUT TO
INT. Lobby- Night
Karen
Looks like nobody’s here.
Tim
Lets go sit and wait for the movie.
Tim and Karen walk town the hall into Theater 12.
INT. Theater 12- Night
Karen and Tim walk into the theater and look around. There isn’t
anybody there.
Karen
That’s weird… Nobody’s here.
Tim
Why is that, Karen? According to you, this is supposed to be the most
popular movie of the year, and nobody’s here. Why?
Karen
Maybe they already saw it.
Tim
I don’t think so.
Karen
This is a good thing. We don’t have to worry about tall seven foot
basket ball players coming in and blocking out view.
Tim
Look, the movie is starting.
INT. Movie- Afternoon
Two kids are walking down the street. They are about 15. They walk a
little farther. They hear a noise in a bush.
Kid
What was that?
Other Kid
Ryan, I don’t know. But… look at the guy behind you!
Ryan looks behind him and sees a man with green skin. The man has no
nose. Behind him… ten more green skinned monsters walked.
Ryan
Run!
INT. Theater- Night
Tim is looking at the movie screen. Then he leans next to Karen
Tim
Karen… I have a question.
Karen
Be quiet! The movie is on.
Tim
That’s the problem! The movie already started. What about the previews,
the commercials? Where are they?
Karen
I guess the--Suddenly… the screen goes blank. The projector is making a strange
noise. The door shuts behind the two.
Tim
What happened?
Karen
Maybe they think nobody’s in there.
Tim
But we bought tickets… they should know we’re in here.
Then, the screen rips down the middle. A man with green skin walks
toward them.
Tim
Oh my god! Is that a…
Karen
Zombie! Let’s get out!
Karen runs up to the front exit… it’s locked.
Karen
Oh no! What are we going to do?
Tim
Look! People up at the projection booth.
There are people in sweaters at the booth. The zombie is getting closer
to them.
Karen
Look! The other door!
Karen and Tim lean up agienst the wall and go to the next door.
Tim
This one is locked to!
Karen
We’ve got to get out!
Tim looks up and sees a ladder to get to the projection booth.
Tim
Follow me!
Tim runs over to the ladder and climbs up it. Karen follows. A zombie
grabs her leg and pulls her back down. Tim jumps off the ladder and
helps her up. Then they climb the ladder again.
CUT TO
INT. Lobby- Night
Karen and Tim run out into the lobby. But Karen stops.
Karen
Wait a minute! Stop, Tim.
Tim
Stop! Why would we stop? There are zombies in the other room trying to
get out… and you tell us to stop?
Karen
That’s the point. This must be a setup.
Tim
A what?
Karen
Yeah… it must be for the premier or something.
Tim
The Premier?
Karen
Yeah… a joke.
Tim
Who would want to--Karen
Lets get out of here. We’ll wait for DVD.
EXT. Theater- Night
The two walk out of the theater. They are walking on the side walk.
Tim
I can’t believe they would do that.
Karen
It was just a little joke. After you think about it… it is kind of
funny.
Tim
Yeah, but that’s the last time I go to see a horror movie.
Karen
Wimp.
Behind Karen in the background, a bus is heading right for her. Tim
turns around to speak and sees it. He pushes her out of the way and
they both jump off to the side. The bus driver beeps the horn and keeps
driving.
Tim
What was that guys problem?
Karen
He must be in a hurry.
Karen and Tim keep walking. They walk for a few minutes and they look
around. Buildings are on fire and doors are wide open. Cars are crashed
up against each other.
Tim
Wow! Looters?
Karen
What happened?
Karen walks over into a store and checks a cash register… money is in
there. Karen looks around and sees a slushy machine running. A cup is
overflowed.
Tim
Karen… you don’t think that the zombies did this… do you?
Karen
Tim… you are so paranoid. Just keep--A car passes the two and smash into a building. It blows up. A woman
screams and then she dies.
Tim
Oh my god!
Tim runs over to the car and looks behind the car and sees over twenty
zombies walking toward them. Tim turns around… Karen walks up to Tim.
She walks out of the darkness and into the street light and… her eyes
are caved in and her skin had turned green. On her shoulder… there is a
bite mark.
Tim
No, Karen!
Tim runs past Karen.
CUT TO
INT. Tim’s house- Night
Tim runs up to the door. He looks behind him and sees hundreds of
zombies coming for him. He opens the door and slams it shut and locks
it. It is dark in the house. Tim Just stands there.
Tim
Mom? Dad? Luke?
Tim slowly walks over to the living room… there is nothing. Tim keeps
walking, he turns his head and sees a fire in the kitchen, on the
stove. Tim runs over to the sink and fills a cup with water and throws
it on the stove, the fire goes out.
Tim
Mom… you burnt the turkey.
Tim walks over to the door to the den. Tim opens the door… all of the
lights are off. The TV is on, he can see the threes heads. He looks at
the TV, there is static on.
Tim
Mom… Dad… Luke?
Tim walks in front of the TV and sees the three sitting there on the
couch… they look up at Tim. They have green faces. Tim looks over at
his dog, it has green hair also. The hair is shaved off of the dog.
Tim
Spot? You to?
The dad stands up, and then the other three do. The dad scratches his
ear, and then it falls off.
Tim
Oh no!
Tim Turns around and looks into the hall. The front door is open and
hundreds of zombies are walking in. Tim turns around and runs past his
dead parents and run up the stairs. He runs into his room and locks the
door.
Tim
No! please don’t! Please god! Oh, please god don’t!
Suddenly, the door cracks, again, and again, and again… the door breaks
down and swarms of zombies come running in.
Tim
Oh no! God! Please help!
Tim runs over to the window and opens it… it only opens about an inch.
Tim runs over and grabs his lamp and throws it through the window. He
jumps out and lands on the ground.
Tim
My ankle!
Tim looks around and sees his bike. He gets up and limps to his bike.
He grabs his bike and starts peddling. His leg is hurting, so he can’t
peddle as fast.
Tim looks behind him and sees the thousands of zombies walking toward
him.
FADE OUT
INT. Pittsburgh- Morning
Tim rode on his bike, he passes a sign that says “Now entering
Pittsburgh” He rode his bike from Monroeville, Pennsylvania to
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Tim keeps peddling.
CUT TO
INT. Outside police station- Morning
Tim gets off his bike and runs up to the police station.
Int. Police station- Morning
Tim runs in and runs up to the sheriff.
Tim
Help me please!
Sheriff
What’s wrong?
Tim
These people, they went crazy, they are… zombies. Green skin, you’ve
got to help.
Sheriff
Go lay down on that bench over there.
Tim limps over to the bench and sits down.
Suddenly, the sheriff’s walkie talkie turns on. And a voice comes on.
Voice
Sheriff, we’ve got a problem, down by down town… the people are biting
each other.
Sheriff
What?
Voice
Green people are attacking the pedestrians.
Tim looks up and looks at the sheriff.
Sheriff
Excuse me, son… would you like to come with me?
Tim
I guess.
INT. Cop car- Morning
Sheriff
So, it looks like you’ve been riding all night… where’d you come from?
Tim
Monroeville.
Sheriff
Monroeville?
Tim
Yeah… these people attacked us in a theater and we got out and found
out that the whole town had been attacked by these people.
Sheriff
So, you had a rough night?
Tim
Yeah.
CUT TO
INT. Downtown- Morning
The Sheriff and Tim get out of the car. Tim looks around and sees over
a million green people eating people.
Sheriff
What in the devil?
Tim
Sheriff, can we get?
Tim turns his head and looks at the sheriff, the sheriff had been
bitten in the leg by a crawling zombie… it looks at Tim and screams!
