We have been very busy revising our class schedule and adding some
more "Just for Fun" Workshops. In the past most of our classes were
geared to students that wanted to learn new skills or techniques, and
they required that you have basic glass cutting skills, and/or fusing
experience.
Faux Woven Basket class
Our "Just for Fun" Workshop classification will be designed for people
that have no experience at all, yet want to have fun creating something
cool. As an example, Our Micro Mosaic Pendant workshop has been
such a hit. It has been full with a "wait list" each time we offered it!
Fused Pendant, Fusing Intro
In February we will be offering a workshop called "Of Coarse You Can"
You choose from a 10" circle or 10" square palette of clear glass and
use Coarse Frit ( transparent colored chips of glass) to create your
image. Your project will capture the sunlight before spring arrives and
amaze you! Bring your friends and family!! This project includes all the
glass and firing! Reservations required. Stand not included.

This is the WOW class of the year
This 11" square basket would look great on any table, and is fairly
easy to build. You just need to select two complimentary colors,
cut your strips and assemble!
The spaces in between are empty and create a basket weave
effect. We have other samples in other colors in the studio for
your viewing pleasure. This class always fills very quickly, so
don't hesitate! Most people purchase 2 sheets of fusing glass.
($30-45 approx).

Treat yourself to some time at the glass shop!
This open studio time is for individuals who desire to
make fused pendants after they have taken our
introductory class - Fused Glass Pendants. Come
and join your fellow fusers for community and fun. It's
also a great place to fuel your creativity - even if you
do have a home studio. System 96 precut squares,
rectangles, and scrap will be provided, as well as,
noodles, stringers, and confetti. We ask that fusers
make a minimum of 8 pieces. Bails and dichroic are
available for purchase. Please call to reserve a time!

This seminar is great for anyone who owns or plans on owning a
kiln. We will discuss ordering, setup, testing and running your
kiln. There will be special emphasis on programming, care, and
shelf materials. There will be a Q & A session to help with
individual needs. It's a great learning experience for all you "firing
newbie's", or a great refresher for current kiln owners. Session
lasts about 1 1/2 hours.

Create a fun and funky fused clock. You will learn about
fusing, drilling, clock assembly, and other techniques.
Clock works, fusing, and instruction will be included.
Purchase glass prior to class.
Pre-requisites: Fused Glass Pendants class and basic
cutting skills.

During this class you will design and create a FAUX "wine
bottle" made of System 96 fusible glass and a coordinating
bottle topper. This class is even better than slumping wine
bottles because it offers so many more design possibilities.
Prism will provide both firings, use of our mold, design
elements, and instruction. Students are responsible for the
purchase of the base glass. This versatile dish has a handle
and a cavity that measures 4x8. Perfect for hors'dourves.
Previous cutting skills required.

This is one of our most popular beginning classes! It is
a professional introduction to fusing. Class sizes
range from 3-6 students and all the instruction and
materials are included! First, we cover glass fusion
theory. Then, you will create 10 glass cabochons that
you will make into pendants. Other topics of
discussion include: firing theory, assembly, and proper
bail attachment. Prism will fire your pieces and they
will be available for pick up a few days later. Basic
bails are included. No experience required. Glass
Cutting 101 is recommended, but not required. (Arrangements for larger groups of 10
available). This is the first step in your fusing experience.

Just for Fun....

In this "Just for Fun" class, we will create two
stunning mosaic pendants in our specialty
silver pendant trays. You may use charms,
photos, scrap dichro, paper, and metal
findings to create your personalized artwork.
We have all the materials you need, but if you
have a special charm or image the size of a
postage stamp, bring it and we will see if we
can incorporate it in your artwork! Our photo
can't do these justice so stop in and check
them out.

Glass Cutting 101

This is where it all starts! Glass cutting is the
basic skill that is required for most glass media
projects. During this class you will learn the
basics of glass cutting including tools, safety,
pattern cutting, and grinding. Whether you are
doing stained glass, mosaics, or plan on fusing,
classes are geared towards the needs of the
students. By the end, you will have cut straight
pieces, circles, and everything in between. No
experience necessary.

Everyone wants to make something big and shiny! Well here
is your chance to create dynamic art on a large fused project
that requires no experience! In this 2 hour workshop you will
use Coarse Frit (glass chips) to create a simple design using
our wide selection of patterns. We will do all the hard cutting,
and will include the kiln firing and all glass! You do the
artwork!

This decorative fused spoon rest will make a fabulous
addition to any kitchen. We will pre cut the white base glass
for you and you may decorate with frit, precuts, and other
decorative elements. This class will be a fun time, spent being
creative and making friends. All materials and both firings
included.

Make a cute picture frame for any occasion. We will
provide precuts, scraps, dots, and other design
elements to decorate your 5 x 7" fused glass picture
frame. Backing is included and will be attached for
you. We will have the white glass bases cut for you
as your palette to work on. Our demo will take only 10
minutes, and you will then do the artwork! We will fire
your projects and you can pick them up a week later!
