Jackson County 4-H Small Animal Essay Contest
This is your chance to improve an old project or enter a new project at the Jackson
County Fair! All you have to do is write or type a one-page, double-spaced essay
describing your project and how you would use the $50 award towards that project.
Who:
Essays will be accepted from all members that are enrolled in the Small
Animal Project.
When:
Essays must be postmarked or e-mailed by March 1, 2015 to the following

Please fill out the application form and include it with your essay when you mail it.
Forms can also be e-mailed to you by sending a request to the above e-mail address.
Age groups are determined by your current grade for the 2014-2015 school year. Age
groups will be as follows:
Beginner: Grades 3-5
Intermediate: Grades 6-8
Advanced: Grades 9-12
Two winners from each level will be chosen by the Jackson County 4-H Small Animal
Committee. Winners will be announced at the Small Animal Auction in April (Saturday,
April 4th) and will receive their $50 award. Winners will be asked to attend the meeting
scheduled in April (Tuesday, April 14th) and present their essay/project.
