16th May 2007
The Mayor joined Cllr Mrs Bettison, Cllr Bowers and the Council Office Staff for the Green Flag
Judging of the Memorial Park and Shephard Meadows.
2nd June 2007
The Mayor was invited to present the prizes at the Family Fitness Funday.

The Mayor was invited to open St Michaels School Fete and to judge the best-dressed hat
competition.

Major General Pearson invited the Mayor to an official reception in the Old College during the
Heritage Day at the RMAS.

The Mayor was invited to attend the Sandhurst Day Centre Sports day.

Berkshire.

The Mayor attended the 2007 Annual General Meeting of the South Berkshire District Scout
Association at the Earlywood Scout centre.

The Mayor was invited to attend the 1075 Air Cadets Formal Annual Inspection in the Royal
Military Academy. The Inspecting Officer was Lt Col Ian Duncan.

The Mayor was invited to present the Berkshire Scouts Centenary Celebration at the Madejski
Stadium.

The Mayor was invited to attend the Exhibition Day at the Ambarrow Court Archaeological Dig.

The Mayor was invited to Tea with the Sandhurst Cricket Club during their Ashes Match with
the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The Mayor was invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Community council for
Berkshire, a non-profit making organisation working with communities across Berkshire in
tacking social exclusion.

The Mayor was invited to attend the Berkshire Scouts International Family evening at Theale
Green School.

The Mayor was invited to attend the Scouting Sunrise being run by the South Berkshire District
Scouts on the Sandhurst Memorial Park. Every Scouting District in the country to mark the
100th Anniversary of the Scouting Movement was running the Scouting Sunrise event.

The Mayor was invited to attend an Evensong Service at Reading Minister Church to mark the
10th Anniversary of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.

The Mayor signed the Charter between Bracknell Forest Borough Council and Sandhurst Town
Council at Easthampstead House in Bracknell.

The Mayor was invited to open the Centenary celebration fete at College Town Schools.
Sandhurst Town Council had a display at this event and a number of Councillors took part in
this "roadshow".

Reading.

The Mayor was invited to attend the Dashain Drinks Party at the Ark in the Royal Military
Academy by the Commanding Officer of the Gurkha Company (Sittang).

The Mayor was invited to join the Sandhurst Tug of War Club at the Sports Club in Sandhurst to
celebrate their winning of the 560kg Gold Medal as they represented England at the European
Championships. The winning trophy is now on display in the Kitty Dancy Room.

The Mayor was invited to present the prize to the winner of the Sandhurst Historical Society's
Photographic competition. The prize is donated by Sandhurst Town Council. The pictures from
the competition are put on a DVD to be held as a historical record for the future.

Society's exhibition at St Sebastian's Memorial Hall in Crowthorne.

Crematorium. John Webb represented Owlsmoor Ward from 2000 to 2003.

Owlsmoor. The service was followed by a reception at the Owslmoor Community Centre where
the Community Awards were presented.

1st June 2008 The Mayor was invited to an event to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the British Tug Of War
Association, hosted by the Sandhurst Tug Of War Club on the Memorial Park. The Mayor
presented the prizes for the 640Kg weight category, which was sponsored by Sandhurst Town
Council.
3rd June 2008 The Mayor attended the Green Flag Inspection on the Memorial Park.

The Mayor was invited to open the 42nd Sandhurst Donkey Derby on the Memorial Park and to
present the prizes to the winners of the donkey races.

The Mayor opened the first Sandhurst Arts Festival on the Memorial Park, introducing the first
Act, Candido Fabre.

The Mayor introduced the Three Tenors in opening the second evening of the Sandhurst Arts
Festival.

The Mayor presented the medals to the winners of the It's A Knockout competition on the
Memorial Park.

The Mayor attended the Area Tug Of War Championships hosted by Sandhurst Tug of War
Club.

The Mayor was invited to kick off the celebrations for the 20th Anniversary of the Sandhurst
Sports Club. The event, held at the sports club, was the first of a whole weekend of activities,
which had been organised to mark this special occasion.

The Mayor attended many of the events that were organised as part of the Sports Club's
anniversary celebrations including the Tug Of War, Short Mat Bowls, Tennis, Skateboard
exhibition and the Sandhurst Boys & Girls Football Club. He awarded the cups to the winning
teams in each of the age groups in the football competition.

The Mayor attended the 25th Annual Atkinson Homes Charity Cricket Match between the staff
of the Atkinson Group of Nursing Homes and the Sandhurst Group Medical Practice. The
money raised goes to the Dr Howard Stilliard Memorial Fund and the Mayor had the honour of
presenting the cheque for the money raised to Mrs Stilliard.

which rounded off the weekend's Anniversary activities.

presenting a cheque to the Sandhurst & Yateley Round Table. In turn, Sandhurst & Yateley
Round Table were providing donations to 2nd Sandhurst Scouts, the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice
and the Make a Wish foundation.
