To be able to recognize rarely observed dermatologic diseases. 2. To learn about recent insights into the pathogenesis of selected dermatologic diseases. 3. To expand the understanding of the range of therapeutic options for difficult to treat dermatologic diseases. Practice Gap(s) for this session: The Practice Gap is the reason a conference or CME activity needs to be held. It describes the difference between where a group of learners/field of study/ practice currently is (current status) and where the learning/practice should be (desired status). The "gap" between the current and the desired will be used to identify conference needs, purposes, objectives, and desired outcomes. Physicians need to have a plan to perform tests or refer patients for testing. Provides an opportunity for many providers to examine patients with rare conditions. Provides exposure to physicians to the latest evidence-based information. Provides an opportunity for interaction between scientists and clinicians.
