He has 30 years of vast teaching experience in the field of computers and electronics. Prior to joining SAU, he was appointed by KSU. He worked as Professor in Kingdom University Bahrain ,and Middle East College of Information Technology, Muscat Sultanate of Oman. He was a Training officer in Saudi Consolidated Electrical Company (SCECO-East), Dammam, Saudi Arabia, before joining the King Saud University/ Alkharj University/ Salman Bin Abdulaziz University Dr. Gulam has long experience in research. His research areas are data mining and digital image processing. Currently he is engaged in medical data mining, and medical image processing. His publication are in Elsevier springier, IEEE and Scrip of USA journals. He is also Research Supervisor , and one student is about submit his thesis shortly. Under the Supervisor ship of Dr. Gulam two students have been awarded M.Phil degrees. Dr. Gulam is Co-Supervisor for project “ Unlishing the best diabeting treatment through Data minig in Saudi Arabia” . 50,000 riyals has been allocated to this project from deanship of research, Salman Bin abduaziz University, Saudia Arabia. Dr. Gulam is also good writer. He has several engineering books published. His books are 1) Operating Systems, 2) Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, 3) Digital Communications, 4) Analog Communications, 5) Communication Systems and 6) TV Engineering. His book titled” Physical Properties of Human Blood “is published by Lambert Publishers Germany. This book has vast circulation in USA, UK, Australian, Canada, Africa and Asia .
