Revised July 2014 1 of 5 Helping Beneficiaries to Develop Employability Skills and Job-Readiness Ensure beneficiaries are aware of Forth Sector’s training opportunities and are encouraged to engage with them Where appropriate, develop and deliver agreed elements of Forth Sector’s beneficiary training programme Contribute to the design and delivery of Forth Sector’s core induction programme for beneficiaries Ensure attainment of targets for beneficiary meetings, job club and training attendance, in line with Forth Sector’s Beneficiary Framework Work with beneficiaries to develop high quality and effective CVs and job applications Coach and prepare beneficiaries for successful interviews Support beneficiaries undertaking work experience, in Forth Sector or elsewhere Work with the relevant staff in Forth Sector’s businesses and teams to improve the work experience offered to beneficiaries Encourage beneficiaries to undertake volunteering, work placements or vocational training courses if appropriate. Employer Engagement and Job Retention Develop positive relationships with potential employers and promote the concept to them Introduce beneficiaries to potential employers and assist them in the application process Visit employers and secure work experience placements for beneficiaries Undertake health and safety assessments of work placements Where appropriate, liaise with employers to ensure appropriate support is in place to enable a work placement or employment to be sustained Provide regular support to beneficiaries for the first twelve months of their employment. Where appropriate, support beneficiaries to claim in-work benefits Provide beneficiaries and employers with information/advice on reasonable adjustments they may require in the work-place Work with beneficiaries to secure supported employment in Forth Sector Monitoring, Reporting and Compliance Revised July 2014 2 of 5 Record and store securely beneficiary data as required Provide accurate and timely reports for internal and external use as required Cooperate with internal and external audits and evaluation. Continuous Professional Development Undertake such training and personal development as may be required to provide an effective service and to ensure compliance with the law or contractual requirements, and, where appropriate, share training expertise with colleagues Keep up-to-date with developments in case-management, employability and administration procedures, and processes Attend and participate in team meetings Actively participate with own supervision and appraisal. All posts may be subject to change as the organisation grows and develops. Staff must be able to adapt to change and, therefore, flexibility is a key attribute required of all employees. It is desirable, but not essential, that the post holder has access to a car.
