The 5th International Forum on Laboratory Animal Science & Technology, Beijing, China
（May 21-23，2011）
The forum is hosted by Beijing Administration office of laboratory Animal, Chinese
Association for Laboratory Animal Science and Beijing Association for Laboratory Animal
Science，and organized by Beijing Association on Laboratory Animal Care.
The forum will be to "improve the laboratory animal science level, ensure biological medicine
innovation" for the purpose, with "disease animal models – the engine of medicine innovation" as
the theme. The research of Cardio-cerebral vascular disease animal models, psychogenic disease
animal models, diabetes and metabolic disease animal models, tumor disease animal models,
infectious diseases animal models, traditional medicine animal models and the use of animal
models in medical research, will be discussed in the forum. Meanwhile, the forum will also have
extensive and in-depth discussion about the current laboratory animal quality control, animal
welfare, animal replacement, and the problems existing in the management of legal system.
Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, one of the departments from the local
government, will organize discussions for cooperation between laboratory animal companies and
the 20 big pharmaceutical enterprises and the teams of 10 important diseases research.
The purposes of organization this forum are that enhance the research level of the disease
laboratory animal models, promote medical (including veterinary medicine) research, screening
and preclinical evaluation as the same time accelerate medical innovation.
We cordially invite you to this forum, where we will work together for the development of
laboratory animal science.
