Learn how to walk, talk and act like a pirate from Blackbeard’s Crew.
Pirate students will discover the real history of pirates on Bald Head Island
in this entertaining and active class on the grounds of the lighthouse. All
graduates will receive a diploma. Space is limited. Reservations required:

Test all your skills in this pirate challenge designed for families. The
challenge must be completed by a team of no more than 6 members. The
trick is you only have 24 hours to complete the challenge. The team will
need to decide how to approach the challenge in order to maximize time
and resources and get the most points to win. Must have your own golf cart
and at least 1 licensed driver. No reservations required.

Pirate Pub Night Dinner at 7 PM
After Captain Sinbad’s arrival to the island, join the pirates for grub and
grog at the Harbour Pavilion Tent. Pirate music by “Rusty Cutlass” and
entertainment by Captain Jim the Magician and a live booty auction.
Buffet dinner with fried chicken, pulled pork BBQ, shrimp boil and all the
trimmings. Hot dog bar, lemonade and ice cream for the kids and cash bar
for Mom and Dad.

National Lighthouse Day on the Grounds of the Old Baldy Lighthouse.
This is Pirate Heaven for kids of all ages. The day will feature, Captain
Jim the Pirate Magician at 10AM and 3PM, Rusty Cutlass Pirate Band,
Blackbeard’s Crew Pirate encampment, Pirates Cascabel and Blaze and
YO HO HO Game Park. You can also visit the Thieves Market, the Pirate
Boutique, play water games or attend a variety of lectures about pirates.
Enjoy lunch at the Pirate Grub Ship with a burger or dog or just sit in the
shade and watch all the pirates. Don’t forget the Pirate Costume contest at
2:30PM at the lighthouse.

7:00 PM Shoals Club
Castaways Carnivale
Will the pirates invade or will we be rescued? There’s no tellin’ what’s in
store. Costumes are required (there’s no dress code) for this not to be
missed extravaganza. Come dressed as your favorite marooned mariner or
island castaway. You might just be awarded a prize as the “best” dressed
Bald Head Island castaway. Island style Dinner, dancing and a
complimentary rum concoction as well as a cash bar. Open to all islanders!

Pirate Family Night
Watch a pirate movie on the side of the lighthouse or visit with the pirates
in camp. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for an evening under the
stars. Popcorn, snacks and drinks available for purchase.

Pancakes with the Pirates
Did you know pirates love pancakes? Eat breakfast with your favorite
pirate. Belly up to the breakfast buffet with pancakes, waffles and lots
more at the Bald Head Island Club. Captain Jim the Magician and “Rusty
Cutlass” will entertain. There will be lots of games for the youngsters.
