Applying Mental Imagery to Enhance Health and
Wellbeing
14 December 2011- Melbourne (Rendezvous Hotel)
The application of mental imagery in the enhancement of health and wellbeing will be
presented in innovative and practical ways.
Mental imagery is a widely utilised evidence-based tool in health and performance, and is
an effective intervention to enhance personal effectiveness in the attainment of a broad
range of goals. The approach provides practitioners with a strategy for assisting clients to
generate better self-images, sustain positive change, and increase capacity to pursue their
potential.
The workshop material draws upon insights from neuroscience, as well as health,
performance and positive psychology -- providing tools for practitioners working in a
wide variety of settings, across the spectrum of human endeavour and challenge.
Case studies will be featured to demonstrate imagery applications. Participants will also
be provided the opportunity to practice and discuss how they might incorporate imagery
strategies with their clients.
