KRI-KRI was established in 1954 in the area of Serres in Northern Greece, having
initially as main activity the production and sales of ice cream in the local area.
Today KRI-KRI Dairy Industry is active in the broader sector of dairy products
having a wide portfolio of ice-cream (sticks, cones, cups, sandwiches, family packs,
catering packs), yogurts (strained yogurt, set yogurt, fruit yogurt, sheep milk
yogurt, traditional yogurt, catering yogurt) and desserts, and is highly
competitive, providing the best possible price/quality analogy. Distribution of KRIKRI products employs a wide sales network throughout Greece and abroad, in both
supermarkets and small outlets.

The company’s seat and its main production plant are both located in Serres which is
the leading area of Greek milk production. Therefore the proximity of the company to
the main Milk Zone of the country is giving the advantage of having the best possible
milk quality as well as the freshness of the milk upon reception.
The total turnover of the company will be approximately 41 million € for the year
2009, with a two digit growth rate, which is the highest rate compared to all our
competitors in Greece. This two digit growth is projected to also continue for the year
2010. More specifically the export activity of KRI-KRI will rise fast with a rate of
56%, proving the acceptance of the high quality products of the company
internationally.
Currently exporting the majority of the range in 13 countries in Europe, the Balkans
and the Middle East, the products are listed in some of the big international SM
chains, as the mainstream market in each country is the target, apart from the Greek
community abroad. Moreover and considering that the famous Mediterranean Diet
has an increasing appeal among consumers, scientists and opinion leaders, providing
also strong health benefits, there is a great potential for further expansion in the
international market.
There are more than 270 employees in the organization of KRI KRI all over Greece.
The company has, apart from the central production facilities and warehouse (chilled
for yogurts and desserts / frozen for ice cream) in Serres, its own distribution center in
Thessaloniki for servicing the city, as well as in Athens to better serve the whole
Southern Greek market. Local representatives all over Greece cover the rest of the
Greek territory reaching thousands of point of sales.
Another production unit and distribution center is also in operation in FYROM
(affiliate 71, 15%) which serves the needs of local market.
Due to the strong and long cooperation with many big multiples in Greece and abroad
(offering both branded and private label products), KRI KRI is highly experienced in
servicing the most demanding customers. Furthermore the high level of flexibility is
the key point in order to meet the specific requirements of any customer and the needs
of the local consumer around the world.
In order to support the above, KRI KRI aims at products that adhere to the highest
quality standards and are made widely available to consumers. This high quality of
the products is being secured by the very well trained scientists with the application of
the strictest controls, the use of contemporary methods of production and with high
technology. The company operates under ISO 9002 and HACCP, and has obtained the
BRC and IFS certificates.
Furthermore, the company continuously invests in state-of-the-art production
equipment and distribution network infrastructures.
The KRI-KRI Dairy Industry is also IFA-certified. This Certification of the KRI-KRI
dairy farms means:

The safety of the feed is guaranteed to be free of genetically modified
organisms and other harmful substances
The barn living conditions of the farm animals meet the industry’s standards
(sheltering, feeding, veterinarian care)
The hygiene practices maintained in the barns follow HACCP International
Standards
Conditions of hygiene and safety are fulfilled by all employees working on the
dairy farms, supplying the company
