About the conference
This is the second time that we gather distinguished ecologists from both Taiwan and Japan to
form a workshop. This time we expand our scope to invite also distinguished guests from USA
and France. The purposes of this workshop are 1) to facilitate interactions among ecologists
from both countries, 2) to serve as a means to discuss important ecological and environmental
issues in the 21th century, 3) to promote quantitative ecology in Taiwan, and 4) to cultivate
exchanges of ideas among scientists and students. The Taiwan-Japan Ecology Workshops are
intended to serve as a conduit of long-term partnership between the Taiwan and Japan ecological
societies.

Contributed posters are welcome for the Conference. For those who are interested in
contributing a poster, please submit your title and email the abstract to complex@ntu.edu.tw by
September 20th, 2009. Students are automatically enrolled in poster competition. See website.

The poster should not exceed 80cm wide and 110cm long.
