It also offers a number of practical exercises that will help doctors learn more effectively within a range of different situations. It aims to provide trainee doctors with a thorough insight into how they should complete an application form that really stands out from the rest, construct a robust CV, present an outstanding portfolio of supporting documentation, and prepare for an interview. Delegates will have the opportunity to practice interview techniques and will receive constructive feedback on their performance from their peers and an experienced trainer. It contains more advanced practical exercises to help you communicate more effectively with colleagues and patients, particularly in difficult situations. Programme for the Day Introduction and Objectives Considering the core values of the NHS and how clinical governance reflects these values Understand the national framework for defining, delivering and monitoring clinical governance Appreciate the importance of patient safety and clinical risk management issues in achieving the best clinical outcomes in all care settings Link clinical governance and principles of accountability to continuing improvement in healthcare delivery Gain and understanding of time management Understand the necessary skills and techniques to improve learning Establish a positive learning environment Provide challenge, interest, engagement and stimulation in their own training Evaluation and close Day 2 – Leadership, Managing People and Building Teams The second day of this workshop looks at how you, as an individual, work with others, and includes sessions on leadership skills and dealing with difficult situations.
