PURSUIT RAISES THE BAR FOR DUAL CONSOLE BOATS WITH NEW 26
June 27, 2010 - Ft. Pierce, Florida: Pursuit Boats proudly introduces the brand new DC 260. The 26 foot dual
console is the first of its kind for Pursuit and absolutely sets new levels in design, engineering and performance
for this growing segment. The DC 260 has an LOA of 25’ 10” with a wide 8’ 9” beam. The standard power for
the boat will be a single 300HP Yamaha engine with an option to upgrade to 350HP. The all new hull was
specifically engineered for its’ anticipated use; with family fun, casual fishing, cruising and marine sport utility in
mind.
Pursuit President, Tom Slikkers, says “With few classically styled brands available to consumers in this market

functional yacht like features that are sure to appeal to the luxury clientele Pursuit has developed over the
years.”
The beauty is backed by a proven production process that incorporates vinyl ester resins hand laminated using
custom engineered fabrics, infused one piece structural stringer systems and epoxy infused bonded windshield
systems . Pursuit power comes from tinned copper wire electrical harnesses custom built for each boat. All
electrical components are connected to the harness with water proof plugged electrical connections. Custom
fitted water and fuel systems with compression fittings, manganese bronze seacock’s and strainers all come
together to create a timeless proven approach to building a quality product that will keep its value for years to
come.
Adding to the graceful lines and dependable construction of the DC 260 is the epoxy infused windshield frame
matched with large tempered glass panels providing complete unimpeded visibility forward, port and starboard.
The windshield has a walk-through center panel with a double latch and a wiper to starboard. Captain and
passengers will also appreciate the uncluttered visibility from ample seating found throughout the boat. Starting
at the bow, two lounge seats with padded backrests aft and a full bolster forward are port and starboard, and
allow passengers to recline facing forward or aft while underway. Built-in speakers, beverage holders and grab
rails add to the experience in comfort. A non-skid step up provides easy access to the forward bow and
anchoring is simple and easy with the optional electric anchor system complete with a stainless anchor roller,
cleat and breast plate. The port and starboard
bow seats lift on neatly hidden rear hinges to
reveal fiberglass finished storage areas
suitable for wet or dry storage.
Seating in the cockpit is plentiful, with two
folding aft seats – a stern seat bench with

seat with padded gunwale backrest, when
deployed, forms an L-lounge with the port-side
fixed aft-facing seat. This fixed seat also
contains a spacious, insulated cooler in the
base, accessed by lifting the seat cushion.

Pursuit DC 260
Entertaining aboard the DC 260 is as easy as prepping your lunch at the entertainment center located aft of the
helm seat, complete with fiberglass freshwater sink and cutting board. Open the fiberglass infused cabinet door
to reveal storage shelves below, forward and aft.
Captain and companion will ride in luxurious comfort. The custom designed fully adjustable helm seat has a flipup bolster to serve as a leaning post. Companion seating is located just to the port side with recessed stainless
drink holders positioned just aft of the backrest. The ergonomic helm features tilt steering, electrical switch
panels, a side-mount binnacle and enough space to mount the optional Raymarine C90 electronics package.
Storage and access to the helm console is through a locking console door, which also has a second acrylic
weather door which swings out to close off the windshield walk-through area.
The port-side console contains a spacious head compartment with an infused fiberglass door that swings wide
to allow entry. The head compartment is one-piece molded fiberglass and contains a manual porcelain head
with a 13-gallon holding tank, macerator and deck pump out fitting. A fiberglass molded sink with fresh water
and lighting for the compartment are standard.
Wakeboard, wakeskate, waterski and tow your favorite water toys from the optional removable rear towing
pylon. Getting in and out of the water is easy through the starboard transom door with the help of a four-step
telescoping swim ladder and transom grab rails. A large storage area in the cockpit allows for ski or toy storage.
Use the freshwater cockpit sprayer to rinse off the saltwater and clean the decks with the standard raw water
washdown. Don’t forget the two freshwater sinks for freshening up.
An optional hardtop will provide cover from the elements and contains an aft facing spreader light, optional rod
holders and outriggers, 36” folding stern light, canvas enclosures, overhead tricolor LED lighting and sturdy
white powder coated 2” aluminum support legs. Fishing amenities include an 18-gallon Oceana Blue livewell,
insulated fiberglass transom fish box that drains directly overboard and rod holders in the gunwale.
The DC 260 is definitely not your average dual console – this one will take you offshore and inshore; in saltwater
or fresh to your favorite fishing hole or secluded cove with the style, luxury and durability you have come to
expect from Pursuit.
