Shanghai, March 1st, 2011. Continental Automotive Group continues to focus strongly on its activities in Asia. Our constantly increasing business success in this region also depends on a good collaboration with our suppliers. To strengthen this relationship, an Asia Supplier Day has been organized by involving the divisions Chassis & Safety, Powertrain and Interior of the Automotive Group. With the theme of "Over-Proportional Growth in Asia", this event took place in Shanghai, China, on March 1st, where about 70 suppliers from the region Asia attended. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Guenter Fella, Head of Continental Automotive Purchasing, presented awards to successful suppliers. High growth rates for purchasing volume Mr. Michael Sommer, Head of Continental Purchasing Automotive Asia, reported that in 2010 the purchasing volume of production material and non-production material in Asia had already reached a considerable size.
