Life as an Object Speech
For this assignment, you are to choose a commonplace object (wheelbarrow, door handle, pencil, shoe, etc.) and give a
1-2 minute speech from the viewpoint of the object. What frustrates this object? What is good about life? What thrills
it? Bring this object to life for us, your audience!
You must also have a visual for your speech…either bring the object in or bring in a picture or a drawing of it.
On a separate piece of paper, plan your speech in whatever format you want to. You just have to have evidence that you
planned it ahead of time.
You need to have a CLEAR beginning, middle and end for your speech.
