Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases held a number of international
congresses and symposia on infectious diseases.
1.In 2008, for the first time in the CIS and Kazakhstan there was held the II Central - Asian
International Congress on Infectious Diseases with the participation of scientists from the U.S.,
Canada, England , the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Argentina , Belgium, Turkey ,
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan , Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Congress
language - English. Prof. Duisenova A.K. is a member of the organization committee of the
International Eurasian Society on Infectious Diseases .

2.In June,4-5, 2010 there was organized and conducted a symposium on infectious
diseases with the participation of scientists from the United States (Prof. Lee Riley and prof. Roy
Gyulik), together with the organization "Bilim" and Almaty City Department of Public Health
and I.S .Zhekenov CCIH). Congress language - English. Presentation were given by professors

Prof. Duisenova A.K. is a member of the editorial board of the journal "Clinical Medicine"
(Turkey), an international scientific journal "Clinical infectology and parasitology" (Ukraine),a
medical newspaper "Health of Kazakhstan."
Employees of the department take part in the scientific and practical conferences of
international, national and city levels: Munich (Germany), Istanbul (Turkey). Prof. Duissenova A.K.
got the 1st place at the IV Eurasian Congress on Infectious Diseases, 2011 (Istanbul, Turkey).
