WINDY BUSH ROAD TO CLOSE FOR 2 MONTHS PennDOT announced Thursday that Windy Bush Road (Route 232) will be closed and detoured for two months between Street Road and Pidcock Road in Solebury and Upper Makefield. The closure begins April 11 as the Department of Transportation rehabilitates a structurally deficient bridge over Pidcock Creek, the department said in a news release. Crews will work over the next two months to replace the existing deck on the 71-year-old bridge, replace concrete barriers and resurface the roadway approaches. The work is expected to be done by June 17. Route 232 will be detoured over Street, Lurgan, River and Aquetong roads. Local access will be permitted up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area. The work comes as part of PennDOT's nearly $2.5 million project to improve nine structurally deficient bridges in the Philadelphia area.
