Non-members can apply for membership by contacting the secretary on Tel. 07711 0411 28 All animals must be born in Northern Ireland on the Exhibitors farm and registered with the Exhibitors prefix. All bulls must be full pedigree. Pedigree certificates must be forwarded to the auctioneer with the application form. All animals must be Double Tagged and this tag must correspond with the Ear Tag on the pedigree certificate. Any yield not shown on the pedigree certificate must be verified with a lactation certificate. Copies of these will be sufficient. If the steward rejects an animal, then it must be removed from the sale yard immediately. Any animal not sold on first presentation in the ring must wait until the end of the sale before it can be presented again. It cannot come in at the end of its class. Semen Storage - Under HUK rules if semen has already been taken from a bull, then it must be declared in the catalogue. Twice daily milking - Breeders should clearly indicate which animals are ‘milked twice daily’ - as the catalogue must reflect this with ‘2X’. All other yields in respect of the entry will be assumed as ‘milked 3 times daily’. All milk yields must relate to 305 days. Extended lactation details are to only be included in the footnotes and not along side the 305 day yields. Sales will have a maximum number of 50 bulls. Entries will be restricted to 10 bulls per exhibitor. In the event of the Show and Sales Committee having to reduce numbers further this reduction will be made on the latest PLI index with the lowest PLI’s being ruled out. Showing Animals will be catalogued according to age and then split into appropriate classes according to numbers. Kilrea judging commences 10.30 am sharp and the sale after close of weekly dairy sale approx 12 noon. Ballymena judging commences 10.30 am sharp and the sale approx 12 noon. Please Note: Trophies, cash prizes and points will be allocated to winners provided the animals are sold on first presentation in the ring. In the event of winners being unsold, then the reserves will be the recipients of the trophies, cash prizes and points. The club following the show results being forwarded to the secretary will pay prize money. Rosettes - will be awarded to the Champion, Reserve Champion and the first 4 places in each class.
