CAREER HISTORY
LEISURE INDUSTRIES RESEARCH CENTRE, SHEFFIELD HALLAM UNIVERSITY 1994 Senior Research Fellow
Responsible for statistical analysis of leisure industries, economic importance of leisure
industries and sport, and sport participation rates using large General Household Survey
datasets.
Creator and manager of the Leisure Industries Database. Principal author and editor of the
journals “Leisure Forecasts” and "Sport Market Forecasts".
On behalf of the Sports Council I have constructed statistical models of the economic impact
of Sports in the UK and its regions. This over the years has become the basic tool of
macroeconomic sports analysis.
Member of the Organizing and Scientific Committee or the Athens Institute for Education and
Research.
Several interviews in the national press (Independent, Times, BBC, Bloomberg). Participated
in a BBC live debate on the gaming industry.
