Experience, Skills and Competencies
To possess a degree or relevant professional qualification in management of sports related discipline and/or equivalent extensive experience of working to leisure industry standards and regulations with a First Aid at Work qualification.
Experience in the management and development of staff.
Proven experience of performance management and the ability to prioritise tasks for self and team.
Significant experience of operational management in a multi-use sport facility
(specifically health and fitness and outdoor pitches) with a proven track record of improving business and financial performance in a sport and/or leisure facility.
Experience of working to leisure industry standards and regulations.
Up to date knowledge of health and safety management issues through appropriate training and practice within all aspects of sport and leisure activity and facility management.
Experience of meeting operational objectives, demonstrating excellent planning and organisational skills.
A constructive team player demonstrating an ability to work collaboratively.
Experience of policy development and implementation.
Project management experience.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral), able to present information clearly and explain complex issues to a range of audiences with varying levels of understanding.
Significant experience of working in a customer focused environment and delivering exceptional customer service.
Sound analytical, creative and pragmatic problem solving skills.
Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy, with experience and knowledge of a
Leisure Management system with the ability to effectively use the information extracted.
The ability to represent the Division externally.
