This formal system is essential but not sufficient, no set of regulations can cover all contingencies, and no system of policing can detect all violations. The championship depends more on the conscience of the individual than on the strictness of the regulations or the efficiency of it’s policing. If championship vehicle control is ever conducted on the principal that anything goes that is not explicitly forbidden, the purpose of the regulations will be frustrated and the championship’s reputation seriously damaged. Each member of the Championship must make a conscientious effort to conduct himself at all times in accordance with the spiritas well as the letter of the regulations Page No 1 of 16 - Issue No2 31/01/15 Published by Midget Racing Group –MIDGET & SPRITE CHALLENGE-2015 www.mgmidgetchallenge.co.uk Published Copy b PAST CHAMPIONSHIP WINNERS YEAR Class A Class B Class C 1977 1978 1979 S EVERITT M WILSON S EVERITT LQUINN M MARKS T CAIRNES 1980 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 1986 1987 1988 1989 D SHEPPARD D SHEPPARD T CAIRNES T CAIRNES S EVERITT S EVERITT S EVERITT S EVERITT M CHALK A HEATON T DOWLER P MAY R NETTLETON M ELLIS S WESTWOOD T CAIRNES P FELIX R NETTLETON R NETTLETON J SIMPSON P HILEY P HILEY G MYERS P HILEY P HILEY 1990 1991 1992 1993 1994 1995 1996 1997 1998` 1999 M CHALK G ADAMS L CUTLER S WESTWOOD L CUTLER D SHANNON C MONTAGUE G ADAMS G ADAMS R WILDMAN M JOHNSON P MAY B COGLAN P MAY K TEMPEST P MAYNE R WILDMAN N ORANGE D ECOB R PERRY D ECOB R WILDMAN P ROOK D ECOB T FARMAN P HALL W LANCASHIRE W LANCASHIRE W LANCASHIRE P HALL 2000 2001 2002 2003 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 C ASHBY C ASHBY P MAY P SIBLEY E REEVE R PERRY E REEVE W SMALLRIDGE W SMALLRIDGE P SIBLEY P TIPPER S GROVES J BILSLAND G PENN W SMALLRIDGE W SMALLRIDGE M TURNER M TURNER P COLLINSON D MOONEY S RAINFORD G PENN G PENN P DIGNAN P DIGNAN T RHODES D MOONEY D PRICE D PYMM D STANTON 2010 2011 P SIBLEY P SIBLEY N PRATT I LANGFORD D PYMM R HOMER Page No 2 of 16 - Issue No2 31/01/15 Published by Midget Racing Group –MIDGET & SPRITE CHALLENGE-2015 www.mgmidgetchallenge.co.uk Published Copy b Midget and Sprite Challenge From 2012 the Midget Challenge and the Healey Club Sprite Championship combined to form the Midget & Sprite Challenge.
