ZONE 7 MINOR LACROSSE
LENGTH OF GAME GUIDELINES
Zone 7 will annually notify all Member Associations of the game play and penalty
guidelines that are in effect, with instructions to notify their coaches and Executive that
these are to be enforced. This pertains to Zone 7 regulations and all current OLA and
CLA Rules.
LENGTH OF GAMES:

TYKE – Three fifteen-minute periods, last two minutes of third period to be stop time. (Five
goal differential)
(NO 30 second clock in TYKE)

NOVICE – Three fifteen-minute periods, last two minutes of third period to be stop time. (Five
goal differential)
(30 second rule in effect)

PEEWEE – Three fifteen-minute periods, last five minutes of third period to be stop time.
(Five goal differential)
(30 second rule in effect)

BANTAM – Three fifteen-minute periods, last five minutes of their period to be stop time.
(Five goal differential)
(30 second rule in effect) *

MIDGET – Three twenty-minute periods, last five minutes of their period to be stop time.
(Five goal differential)
(30 second rule in effect) *

INTERMEDIATE – Same as Midget.
* When multiple games are played on one day Midget and Intermediate games will be threefifteen minute periods.
* Games at all levels must have three minutes rest between periods.
* Stop time only to be waived by mutual agreement of both coaches.
LENGTH OF PLAY-OFF GAMES:
The regulation game times are in effect with the addition of overtime periods, in the event of a tie
game. A ten-minute, stop time sudden death victory period(s) will be played. The team scoring
first will be declared the winner.
