EXCEED AND EXCEL has not covered ENTREPRENEUR mares to have yet produced
a horse of racing age.
EXCEED AND EXCEL has covered mares bred on the SADLER’S WELLS sire line and
has produced 7 Stakes Winners to date including: so far his best son HELMET - a triple
Gr1 Winner along with INFAMOUS ANGEL Gr2, NIDEEB Gr3, MRS. KIPLING Gr3,
BABY CORN, EXCEEDINGLY FRENCH, CANALI.
EXCEED AND EXCEL has covered mares bred on the NORTHERN DANCER sire line
which has produced 21 Stakes Winners which are approximately half his stakes winners
to date. These include another of his Gr1 Winners MARGOT DID.
Also interesting to note is that DANEHILL over ENTREPRENEUR mares has produced
4 Stakes Winners whilst his sire DANZIG over ENTREPRENEUR has produced 6
Stakes Winners.
However a big winner is DANEHILL over SADLER’S WELLS line mares. This cross
has produced 68 Stakes Winners including: 12 x Gr1 Winners, 11 x Gr2 Winners, 16 x
Gr3 Winners.

the horse we have purchased was bred.

When we went to the sales we were looking first and foremost for the individual.
It has to be an equine athlete.

crop each year and we can identify this 20% of the foal crop as having a pedigree rating
of A and above, we will ONLY search for equine athletes that are based within this A
grade sub-group.
Simply - We leave the rest for the other industry participants to consume.
Whichever sets of statistical data you choose to accept and rely upon for information
flow, it remains constant – Simply, on its pedigree our horse was produced upon an
exceptionally good mating with a significantly increased opportunity to produce an above
average racehorse.
Since we have matched this pedigree to our individual’s excellent conformation, size,
strength and athleticism, we are convinced this horse represents a wonderful opportunity
for equine investment in a quality thoroughbred.
Whilst there can never be any guarantees in thoroughbred breeding or racing and this
horse would be no exception to that fact, the reality is that we would always rather start
with and take advantage of sets of statistics which are weighted heavily in our favour
than to purchase another horse only bred to be average in the first instance and then,
having to pray for a miracle.
