Lab students will not go off campus this week due to OGT’s 1st period Monday – high frequency words, [ INSTRUCTIONS] say words and Ss circle on their page (collect these and grade- #/14)record grades , then Ss take out a sheet of paper, number 1-14, read same 14 words and Ss write words to check their ability to spell these words (grade this – again it is #/14, record grades). Circle same 8 words on every page and Ss are to write a complete sentence for each word – due the next day. This is usually homework. Tuesday – Reading development, see the books on desk, choose what you like. Wednesday – What is a noun? What is a verb? What is an adjective? (Exercises from Early First Words web site) or other places. Thursday - Students should go to computers, log on and complete exercise in Moodle. Please help Chad with spelling. (Can help others also but Chad will need most help) Friday - Silent sustained reading for whole period. ++++++ SPANISH CLASSES INSTRUCTIONS: Once per week the verb quiz is for a grade, you get to choose which day, always grade the verb quizzes in class(exchange papers, students write name on bottom of paper).I walk around in class during grading to help students ‘be honest in grading’. Introduce ‘alphabet words’ on Monday, students write them down, review each day, quiz on Friday, grade in class, record grades. I am grading all exercises on Moodle. ++++++++ Lab 1st: All students except Chad will be in OGT’s all week, after OGT they will return to room 203 2nd: When students return, you can have them do sections of Work Ethic or PDP. The PDP lessons can be done each day and in the upcoming weeks on Wednesday’s when they stay on campus. These are in the last cabinet on outside wall: Work Ethic – small binder, each student already has one PDP – navy (both Jr and Srs) PDP – light blue Juniors & Seniors– level 1, level II – Seniors (we have not started this) 3rd: Students should go to Distribution and get more disinfect wipes and dust/clean table and bookshelf outside Mrs. Barr’s office, all desks and computer tables (including mouse at each computer) in class. If time permits can do door knobs and push bars in school. This can be done every day. ***I have included the reading material on carpet care. Beginning next week (March 21) they will be learning more about carpet spotting. An order from JanSuply will arrive this week and it includes gum removal aerosol cans. Check in supplies, make a copy of charge card receipt, put receipt in an envelope and send to Board Office. Put copy on magnetic clip on left side by desk. Mike can explain/show you how to remove gum from carpet if you are not sure (Thank-you Mike for any help you can give Christi on carpet spotting). Feel free to take a can home and ask him to show you. The video you will get from me Monday will explain a lot about the lab including the carpet section that has gum, types of candy and taco sauce ready for students to practice carpet spotting. You will get more detailed lesson plans about carpet spotting lessons on Thursday/Friday.
